Nostalgia is the games only redeeming feature, You'd have to like Duke a lot to put up with the awful gameplay.

Thats the horrible thing about. I mean everything else as far as the overall look of the game is censored looks great! But all the reviews I've seen say its major disappointment considering how long the game took to be fully developed and eventually released.

Besides, I've actually never got a chance to play the original Duke 3D games, so I have nothing else to go off from.

In fairness the original is infinitely better if you can put up with the dated graphics. I think it's on PSN/XBLA for a relatively small price.

Duke Nuke Em 64 was good at the time. However if I want a nostalgia kick I bring out Ocarina of Time, Mario64 or If i want to go right Back the SNES and Street Fighter Turbo and Mario Kart

Let me ask you this, have you seen the movie Army of Darkness?  If you haven't, see it. It's the ultimate man's movie, in fact I don't think you can receive your man card without having seen it. If you have seen it, Duke is VERY much a game in that same vein of humor and awesomeness. Having not played Duke 3D I would highly recommend playing DNF, only go in with the lowest of low opinions because the game is NOT very good in terms of anything aside from character. It does however do a good job of bringing back to mind everything that made D3D so good.

EDIT: Here watch this video. I almost posted this instead, until I got to the last 25 seconds or so of the guy just standing there watching the sharks.

This does a good job of highlighting the game.

When I think of Videogame music, I always think back to the first piece that ever caught my attention. Which case it was in Donkey Kong Country 2, a super relaxing piece in an overall amazing game and fantastic compositions.

Wait...So you're telling me...that us marks can't possibly know everything!? Nooooooooo! *sarcastic pose*

Hopefully this doesn't create the urge for anyone to feed their Warcrack addiction.

God I miss Vanilla and Burning Crusade.

I used to sit in Stone Hearth Bunker in Alterac Valley for hours on end trying to take that damned tower, and I'd come out after one hell of an epic all-out war and have so many HKs. Turning AV into a race ruined the entire game for me. My hunter was nearly almost to High Warlord status, and my Takk the Leaper ripped the shit out the alliance.

Borderlands 2 - The mission where you rescue Roland. That's quite epic. I do that part repeatedly just for the music.
