Quote  Arsenal chairman Peter Hill-Wood has suffered a heart attack and is recuperating in hospital.

The 76-year-old was taken ill on Friday and an Arsenal statement said he "is recovering after suffering a heart attack, following a bout of pneumonia".

The Gunners added: "Peter is currently being treated in hospital. He is making a good recovery.

"The club wishes Peter a full and speedy return to health and our thoughts are with him and his family."

Hopefully he makes a speedy recovery.

In the past few years we seem to be hearing more and more about people related to football - be that players/managers/chairmen suffering from serious injury/illness.

I know things like this happen every day throughout the world but i dont recall a time where i heard so many things happening to guys in the greatest sport on the planet.

It isnt as surprising to me that it is happening to the older guys behind the scenes as it is the younger guys that are out on the pitch but it just seems to be happening more and more - with the medical kit available to the professionals today i would have thought things like these could have been spotted before they happen - with all the screening equipment and fitness tests and medicals and such ....

Hill-Wood was battling pneumonia at the time too so that can't have helped, and to be honest at 76 it's quite common to have these kind of issues.

However the youngsters having heart issues is a different thing. Too much strain on their hearts can be one thing, so can them being too fit. I am also assuming we're hearing more of more players having heart conditions as screening is much more common these days.

Being a miserable old cunt won't of helped his cause.

Always used to see him in Islington getting the tube to games like he was one of us, soon stopped that when the trophies dried up. Money grabbing bastard needs to step aside and sell his stake to Usmanov.
