Quote On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed the possibility of WWE offering WrestleMania, SummerSlam and other PPVs to networks for broadcast rights. Meltzer said that networks are already offering almost $5 million for each broadcast of Raw so it's very possible that some day, a network will offer $10 million for a one-day WrestleMania event or at least offer more money than WWE is gaining value in airing the PPV on the Network.

If they removed PPVs from the Network and made them only available through a TV channel, I would probably cancel the Network and download the PPV.

If it's on free TV fair enough. But now fans are used to PPVs on the Network, they surely know their would be a huge backlash if it goes back to the prices they used to charge.

I can't a company over here paying millions for something happening in the early hours of monday morning and it would probably have to be on Sky with all other E programming.

I suppose it sounds strange to you guys over there, but seeing Wrestlemania on NBC channel 6 on our local cable here on the first Sunday of April seems like a HUGE step up for the WWE to me. The downside would be all the commercial breaks that would need to be included with the broadcast, so if it were simulcast on the WWE network without interruption there would be value added.

TBH, that kind of thing happening actually seems like an end-goal for WWE executives to know they have finally brought WWE successfully into the mainstream culture.

If it were just wrestlemania each year to begin with there would be a whole lot of value added in getting the network too because of nxt takeover and the hall of fame induction ceremony.

We already have the Sky Sports Box Office over here which i guess is similar - and part of the reason i havent ordered a PPV via this method for months is because i have a network subscription.

If they remove the PPVs from the network then id cancel.

I would however happily pay a bit extra if they created a network premium subscription which would mean id still get PPVs for less than the cost of buying them on sky sports box office
