The opening of Raw on Monday should be the lights going out and a casket
with an urn appearing in the ring and spotlight it.

Then Kane and Taker come out and pay tribute to Paul Bearer and then a video

tribute comes up on the titantron

Um, sorry about this, but Taker and Kane are only associated with Paul Bearer, not William Moody, so would RAW be showing respect to William Moody or Paul Bearer?

Personally speaking I would like RAW to pay tribute to William Moody because he was so much more than just Paul Bearer and I hope they don't use his death to further Punk in any way shape or form, that they leave Paul Bearer wherever he was when he last left the WWE

In the freezer?

Nah seriously I know what you mean. That would just be way too soon to even think about going that rout!

In the freezer?

people seem to forget exactly how much respect Punk has for the legends of this industry, and how much of a leader Taker is seen as in the locker room.

if any of the creative team even dared to use Moody's death to get heat for Punk, both he and Taker would most likely beat the living shit out of whoever's idea it was, so i think we can guarantee we're safe from that.

for anyone who would say "yeah, well, look at what happened with Punk and Heyman over Lawler's heart attack", well blow me, but wasn't Lawler a part of that angle? hasn't he done things his entire career that have been "questionable"? do people still really believe that Lawler wasn't in some way responsible for that angle?

anyway, back on topic, i am hoping that, in the From the Vaults section on Smackdown this week, that they give us a match he was very involved in.

as far as whether they pay tribute to Moody or Bearer, when WWE do actual tributes, they tend to ignore the actual character, and mark out the actual person, so it will be a Moody tribute for the video, and maybe a Bearer tribute by Kane, or Taker, or Foley, if at all.

Both are good tributes.

Sometimes whenever someone in the wrestling business passes away I like to pull out my old videos and watch footage of them. I'm watching the 1999 King Of The Ring. Paul Bearer is managing the WWF World Champion The Undertaker at the time in the Corporate Ministry days; and Taker defends the Title against The Rock. In this match, the first whole match I see of Paul Bearer since he passed, Bearer knocks out the referee when his man is about to be pinned, hits The Rock with a shoe, and brings out a cloth with a bottle of ether for The Undertaker to use.

That's Paul Bearer for you.

Quote TMZ released a report that WWE legend Paul Bearer died as a result of a heart attack according to his son.

Michael Moody stated that the death certificate for his father, William Moody, lists the cause of the heart attack as supraventricular tachycardia or SVT, a dangerously high heart rate. According to the report, a cardiologist told TMZ that SVT is quite common and if treated, usually is not deadly. Symptoms of SVT are similar to anxiety and heartburn, so people tend to ignore them. This is possibly what happened to Paul Moody.

According to Michael, doctors believe his father had been struggling with SVT for the last several weeks of his life before he passed.

Here is the full article from TMZ.com:

WWE legend Paul Bearer died from a heart attack ... Paul's son tells TMZ ... and the sad part, it could easily have been prevented.

Michael Moody tells us, Paul's death certificate lists the cause of the heart attack as supraventricular tachycardia or SVT -- a dangerously high heart rate.

But here's the thing ... we spoke to a cardiologist who tells us, SVT is quite common and if treated, usually isn't deadly. SVT's symptoms are similar to anxiety and heartburn ... so people tend to ignore it, which is what likely happened to Paul.

Michael says doctors believe his dad -- real name Bill Moody -- had been struggling with SVT in the last few weeks of his life.

Paul was 58.

It should come as no surprise to anyone. Carry all that weight for so many years will have put a huge strain on the number 1 organ we have.

It's a shame he didn't get checked out. If you have what feels like heartburn for a prolonged period it's better to be safe than sorry and get it checked.

It's sad something treatable fell to the side with the worse possible outcome.

Didint 'Paul Bearer' lose a lot of weight though in his later years, he wasnt the gibbering fatty that we used to know him as.
And along those lines, its a shame but Im not surprised to hear that Yokozuna died of similar reasons.
