Well, maybe Paige can manage Alexa Bliss & the rest of Absolution. Maybe.
It's over. It's ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL over!

Seeing the video of when the injury occurred while I don't blame Sasha for it I'm also thinking holy hell there was a lot of force in that kick.

I really feel bad for Paige she won't get to be part of the royal rumble and now she can no longer do what she loves and that's wrestle.

Ultimately I would go with scoliosis for the major reason she's had so many problems. It's pretty tough doing a flatback bump when you don't have a flat back to bump on.

I suppose if it were me, I'd move Ruby Riot over to Raw to take over Absolution, and assuming the timing were right, debut Serena Deeb to take over Riot's place on Smackdown. She can redirect that faction on her own until the Balor Club get traded over to Smackdown following WrestleMania...

But that's just me.

I would honestly just break up the team and see if the two girls can make it on their own if not then send Riott over to take over and send the other girls on Smackdown back down to NXT so they can practice their craft a bit more.

I can confirm the outlook looks bleak.

She did an Instagram post yesterday that was positive about her return to the ring. Why would she do that if she'd been told a few days before she was done?

People don't stop developing until their late teens but for some reason her parents thought letting her developing muscles and bones taking hits at 13 was a good idea, so her body would naturally from wrestling half her life already, be naturally more worn than the average 25 year old.

Another way to look at it is this. If they had brought Paige back as a babyface to make most of the huge crowd pops, she wouldn't have been in a match against another babyface in Sasha and therefore the injury that has supposedly ended her career wouldn't have happened.

Let's avoid 'another way to think of this...' for now shall we because you've essentially just pointed the finger at the company when fingers don't need to be pointed at anyone. She's had a lot of injuries for a lot of different reasons and this was pure accident.

It's possible, as regards the Instagram post, that her personal Doctor was optimistic. Since Benoit the WWE Doctors have been very firm in their refusal to allow certain injuries through, particularly neck and head injuries. WWE Doctors are literally the only Doctors to say that Bryan can't wrestle but they will not take the risk. The same is true of Paige.

PWInsider is most quoted but there are a lot of credible sources coming forward. If this is a work the PWInsider will lose any and all credibility so I doubt they would report it without something concrete either.

This was a freak accident honestly there's a little fault everywhere Paige for not paying attention and Sasha for the force of the kick.

We don't know what's going on at the moment with her in ring career but I doubt she will be back in a WWE ring now with her neck the way it is it would be a risk for WWE to allow her back in.

She's a great talker so I wouldn't be surprised if she was put in a gm like role when either Kurt Angle or Daniel Brian decide to step down.

Just proves how cautious WWE are these days with regard to the health of the talent.
Paige since her main roster debut has just suffered one injury after another and now with the latest being neck related not to mention a injury very similar to the one that ended the in-ring careers of Steve Austin and Edge they just don't want to take any risk of Paige suffering a catastrophic injury in the ring.

It's very sad with Paige being as young as she is and she is an amazing talent with what looked set to be a hugely successful career in front of her, but now it seems she has two choices, she can accept her fate and transition in to some form of non-wrestling role with WWE and maybe even have a hand in training the new talent passing on her experience. Or she can risk her health and leave WWE and go and wrestle elsewhere.

This whole thing seems done out of spite and more like WWE getting back at Paige for getting neck surgery when WWE advised her not to and all the other shit that's happened. It also says a lot about WWE medical and calls for a thorough investigation on them. They've fucked up the careers of Daniel Bryan, Rob Van Dam, and now Paige. They misdiagnosed CM Punk's staph infection and now they're in a lawsuit over it. And they let Nikki Bella come back with no later issues or anything.

Something seriously needs to be done here about prematurely ending people's careers and misdiagnosing shit.
