My oldest son (now 13) tuned me in to this anime. It may just be the best comedic hero show I've ever seen.

Life is such a bore when you are so powerful that even the most powerful monsters can be obliterated in just one punch. I just love how subtle and unassuming this guy is. He looks lame most of the time. He is completely disinterested in his opposition. The only things that excite him are sales at the grocery store.

Meanwhile everyone and everything around him operate at a very serious level where supervillains are a threat to life, and heroes are awesome and badass and they go on and on about how they're the best and how no one stands a chance against them, etc.

And then they meet Saitama and all logic goes out the window because he is so stupidly powerful he defies all reason, but he doesn't care and in fact it sort of seems depressing for him to be so strong.

If you haven't seen this show you must look it up. It is hilarious. If you've seen it, you know what I mean. I have watched it 3 different times now with the kids and it always leaves me grinning ear to ear because of it's dry, subtle humor.
