It baffles me why folk are so desperate for more WWE programming when we are already massively oversaturated with it each week, and that’s before you consider all the Network content and PPV’s which are also apparently becoming a hour longer.

If they put Raw back to two hours then I wouldn’t mind NXT being extended to two hours so much, but less is more in my opinion you should leave the fans wanting more not wanting the show to end. NXT is fine as a hour, leave it alone.

Because television is "oversaturated" with much of the same people each week and a two hour NXT show, or any NXT show on television, would give us a chance to see different people as well as the NXT roster on television in the first place.

It goes back to the conversation Rico and I are having in another thread, and a point that you yourself have brought up in the past, about rotating talent. I actually am longing for a third WWE television show after "C shows" like Superstars, Velocity, and Sunday Night Heat went off the air. You can see people you normally don't see.

Yeah that's just it. Raw isn't too long as much as it is that the segments are too long and there isn't enough variety. This in turn makes the show FEEL long. WWE could make a 1 hour show feel long if it were always Roman Reigns cutting a promo with Stephanie.

Sometimes less is more ... #JustSayin

The current format works and they get a decent amount of TV time given the size of the roster - the PPV quality makes up for everyone being on TV every week because all people talk about are the takeover matches and barely remember the build up in comparison

Exactly this. The NXT format works, a subtle minimalistic build-up on the weekly shows leading to the Takeover events which are always excellent. If it ain’t broke don’t fix it. The one hour show is fine as they rotate the talent around each week to ensure the top stars get enough time to be showcased and build their respective feuds/matches.

WWE would be wise to take a similar approach with Raw and Smackdown, trim Raw back to two hours and rotate talent more, we don’t have to see everyone from the top to the bottom of the card on every episode, that way the matches and segments can mean something rather than just being a bunch of throwaway tag-matches or repetitive promos.
