TUPeeps gone of this brand because I can't believe little over a week to the show and nobody is talking about it........

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/NXT_TakeOver:_WarGames_(2018)

I will give it a watch like last year because I do like the War Games match concept and want to see if it's tweaked a little or same as last year.

When did Veleteen Dream turn babyface? Or is it heel vs heel main event?

You never know the show might impress me enough to start giving the weekly show another chance.

Velveteen has been a tweener for a long long time

i would have been talking about this alot but i havent had the time lately - alot of my work and studying is winding down now so i should have more time to be back active around here.

Really looking forward to this card

Really hope we get a velveteen win and then Black v Velveteen feud mark 2 for the title

Another typically solid NXT Takeover event, I don’t know though for me this show just lacked anything really special, but it was still a very enjoyable event.

Matt Riddle vs Kassius Ohno was a around 5 seconds long, seemed a little pointless, I’m guessing a rematch will happen on Wednesday.

Baszler vs Sane was good, fairly short for a 2 out of 3 falls but was well booked and the Horsewomen got involved again.

Black vs Gargano was really good, match of the night for me, one big spot and move sequence after another all expertly executed.

Velveteen Dream vs Ciampa was another well worked match, couldn’t quite follow Black/Gargano though, loved Dream impersonating Hollywood Hogan.

I’m not a big fan of War Games, the rules are overly complicated and I just don’t like clusterfuck matches, this had some good action though and I enjoyed the big spots.

Holy fucking shit, where do i start ....

OK well as im fairly logical, ill start at match 1 Riddle v Ohno

Did what it had to do and announced riddle in an emphatic way

??/10

match 2: Baszler v Kairi Sane

The story telling was excellent and Sane really surprised me with the offence she managed to get in. Interference countered interference but there was an absolutely insane counter spike DDT that was absolutely fantastic.
Loved the counter for the finish too
8/10

match 3: Gargano v Black
This was absolutely fantastic and the momentum of the match shifted so many times. The striking on show was phenomenal and again there were several DDT sequences that were insane. There were a few near falls which i bought into but the things i found the best in this match were the mind games. The sitting in the middle of the ring, the asking for each others finishers and then the actual finish. Aleister Black is the Undertaker of NXT and the psychology in this match was pretty much like watching HBK v Taker at Wrestlemania.
10.5/10

match 4: Ciampa v Dream
This is probably the best NXT title , infact scratch the NXT part, was probably the best title match i have EVER seen. I'm not exaggerating by any means, there were so many near falls which i genuinely believed were the end of the match. Velveteen Dream is a superstar, in every aspect, they need to allow him the freedom he has in NXT when he moves to the main roster. Ciampa is still probably the greatest heel in WWE and the styles of these 2 made for an absolutely fantastic matches. It had EVERYTHING. If in your head, you could picture the perfect title match, this wouldnt be far from that. Brilliant.
11/10

match 5:  WARGAMES
Where do i even start with this one. Absolutely fantastic right from the word go. Genius by Fish to have Dunne locked in the shark cage for so long. The tag team cohesion was brilliant and i must say, the war raiders were phenomenal - i never really thought that much of them until this point.
There were several insane moments, a couple to note were the multi man suplex off the top of the cage and Richochets 450 moonsault from the top.
There were again several near falls and whilst you could perhaps expect an overkill of hardcore spots, this was very very well done.
Dunne was unbelievable and Ricochet's style is perfect for that type of match up. Undisputed Era look fantastic in defeat and this was exactly how a hardcore/cage/hell in a cell style match should be .
9/10

Overall 10/10 - Fantastic card - you need to watch this one guys.

Glad to see Sane and Shirai together, should be entertaining seeing them work together with the MMA four horsewomen.

Gargano vs Black was good and so was Chiampa vs Dream.

For my money though War Games was match of the year 2 years in a row.

I'm not even a big hardcore match fan, but war games is just such amazingly well controlled chaos. And I am a huge fan of controlled chaos in wrestling. That's why I liked WCW at it's peak. they did it better than anyone and it's fitting that the match they pioneered and made famous continues that same legacy today
