Barely into the first match and I am enjoying it for the pro-wrestling show it is.

I don't think I have ever seen Aleister Black with the War Raiders before. The three look like they'd make a good three man team, seeing as the two are realistically playing Vikings and Black is a Nord himself.

I got distracted earlier by the crowds erupting for no apparent reason. I thought maybe someone big was making their way to ringside through the crowd, but then they started chanting you deserve it so I can only guess. Certainly took focus away from the match though.

Velveteen Dream vs Matt Riddle was fantastic. Certainly a candidate for the best match of the night. Loved that entrance for Velveteen Dream. He is going to be a Big Star on the main roster. Just not today. Retaining is probably best for him. Means he has more of a chance to stand out later.

Walter looks like a poor man's Brock Lesnar. I've never really cared for Pete Dunne either so this match is sort of a dud for me.

Baszler vs Bellaire vs Sane vs Shirai was pretty great. I'm a bit disappointed Baszler retained. I was hoping she would drop and debut at WrestleMania. I suppose she still can, but I was also hoping to see Belaire win the title tonight. That hair whip thing is nasty. It truly is a whip and the marks it makes are ugly. I mean, obviously it could be worse, I've seen what whippings can do to a person's back, and her hair whip isn't leaving giant gashes, but it's still breaking the skin.

Seems like this PPV is going by fast. It's already time for the main event.

Why was this on a Friday instead of the usual Saturday?

Why the fuck did I not realise

Edit: right now ive had a chance to watch it and ..... WOW .... Again TakeOver setting the probably unachievable standard for Mania to try and follow

1. Tag Team match was absolutely insane - the War Raiders are so mobile for big guys and there were some incredible spots in this match - like Rico i also got distracted by the crowd - i was thinking maybe they seen someone from the Main Roster or something

2. Dream v Riddle was awesome. It was not what i expected at all. Yes i expected an awesome match because DREAM is the most talented guy in NXT but i DID NOT expect Riddle to dominate in the way he did. The near falls were great and the finish was unexpected - Great match. Best spot of the match was Riddle rear naked/german suplexing dream over the top rope

3. Dunne v Walter - Pete Dunne is my favourite guy in NXT. yes, hes British but he also has one of the most unique movesets ive ever seen. Walter looks really good for a big guy and he demonstrated his power well. Cant believe he kicked out of the Bitter End. Fantastic match - looks like the rumors are true though - Pete Dunne will be called up to the main roster.

4. Womens championship. Was a very good match, probably the best match ive seen Shayna in. Was surprised she didnt drop the title because i actually could see those 3 horsewomen helping Ronda somehow on Sunday and moving up but i guess they have other plans for them at the minute.

5. Cole Bay Bay v Jonny Wrestling. This was absolutely incredible. The first fall was pretty slow going but then BOOM what a match it turned into. The final fall was one of the best bits of wrestling storytelling drama, whatever you want to call it, that ive seen in years. UE interference and then several near fall attempts which i genuinely believed in followed by the Gargano escape for the Triple Crown. Great to see Candice and Ciampa showing up to congratulate Gargano too. Fantastic match.

What A PPV
