In what has been a busy Monday for wrestling fans, WWE has made another significant announcement this afternoon.

Triple H announced via social media today that NXT TakeOver: Chicago will officially take place during WWE Money In The Bank 2018 weekend at the Allstate Arena on June 16th.

Tickets for the NXT TakeOver: Chicago special will go on sale starting April 14th. Check out the full ticket information in Triple H's tweet below.

.@WWENXT is going to TAKE OVER Chicago, IL on Saturday, June 16th...the night before #MITB.

Tickets go on sale 12pm on Saturday, April 14th...BUT:

Combo tickets for #MITB and #NXTTakeOver are available THIS Wednesday at 12pm CT in a special pre-sale on @Ticketmaster. pic.twitter.com/Wq8nEED9mc

With MITB in the same venue the night after, they will have a job on to sell out even with combined ticket offers.

Takeover arenas used to be packed, but lately it's been clever camera work to stop thousands of empty seats being seen, as on Royal Rumble weekend in Texas.

This time of the year is the hardest Takeover to sell tickets for, as people will want to wait and see who gets removed to the main roster first.

Chicago crowds are smarky though and NXT is heavily aimed at smark crowds so i think this could be a pretty good event and a decent crowd too

Just got caught up with NXT and there looks like there is going to be another hellish card.

So far confirmed we have:

Black v Sullivan

Gargano v Ciampa

Undisputed Era v Bruch and Lorcan

And its looking like Velveteen Dream v Ricochet , Bazsler v Cross and Cole v Dunne.

MITB weekend is always one of my favourites and this is making it even better!!

Only just finished watching this as I was away at the weekend, apparently noone else has watched it

The tag title opener was a frantically paced match, very good contest.

Next up was the dream match, Ricochet vs Velveteen Dream, they didn’t disappoint - what a match, definitely match of the night and a very strong contender for match of the year I would say. Tons of well worked high spots and near falls, great wrestling and they kept you guessing as to who was going to win. Velveteen Dream is going to be a big deal in WWE.

Baszler vs Cross was a decent enough effort, couldn’t match Baszler’s matches with Ember Moon though.

Black vs Sullivan was a very good hard hitting match and Sullivan’s longest match to date, well booked as it kept Sullivan looking like a beast while Black got the hard fought win.

The street fight was around 40 minutes of great storytelling and brutal hard hitting action. Ciampa’s heel work is spot on and Gargano plays the sympathetic face well. Great ending with the stretcher then Gargano wanting to inflict more punishment before Ciampa grabs a desperate last ditch move for the win. Excellent match if a little long for me and couldn’t quite beat Dream/Ricochet in my view at least to the match of the night honours.

Another top notch show from NXT, they never disappoint.
