RoH would be more of the promotion to sign Punk and Bryan as both are alumni and have good memories of their time there. With a still better relationship between RoH and NJPW than what already exists, a signing for one could well mean a signing for the other depending on touring schedules.

If the two companies could work out a deal where they were to unify their booking, and share talent more freely than they do now. You could see NJPW events take place in the US, and RoH in Japan, and a mixed roster that would appeal both to fans and the wrestlers alike.

In this way guys like Bryan and Punk could maybe do a tour in Japan, but they wouldn't have to MOVE to Japan, and do the majority of their time in the states while still filming for NJPW & RoH alike.

I've been an advocate of WWE setting up a European headquarters for a long time for much the same reason. It would make life for the European WWE employees so much better if they could be based in Europe while still filming Smackdown local to them. The European tours would in the long run be cheaper, because they'd have a permanent headquarters to work out of so shipping the rings and stage and whatnot wouldn't have to come from the US. If Smackdown took place primarily in Europe with biannual tours in the states, to mirror that of what Raw does, then the brands would actually feel much different, again, both to the fans and to the wrestlers and it could create an even more realistic feeling of competition, AND make appearances in cross promotion shows that much more special.

Plus it'd be a great place to push that mythical United Kingdom title I keep hearing about.

As far as NJPW is concerned if RoH could end up partnering with them so that RoH became synonymous with New Japan's presence in America, then to my mind, that's win/win.

As stated, the U.S. show in March is already sold out and now fans are getting another treat in Liger v. Mysterio.

The only time these 2 have faced each other was at Starrcade '96.

No word yet on if this is a one time thing or if Mysterio will be working add't dates for NJPW.

Yeah they're both far past their prime. On paper this looks good but I can't imagine this would be anything compared to their match 22 years ago.

I will be worth keeping an eye on though to see if Mysterio sticks around.

Is this the same show that will feature Jericho?

As of now, the only confirmed match on the card is Mysterio v. Liger.

The only rumored match is Jericho v. Naito.

Otherwise, no official (or even rumored) card has been announced yet. The earliest I can see an official card appear is during or after the Anniversary tour. If not, it'll be official by the time New Japan Cup wraps up on 21 March.

I think they're taking things a bit far there, however it's not the first time RoH/NJPW have been talked about as a legitimate future contender with WWE.

At times like this, when I'm just SO fucking bored of WWE's stupidity, it's nice to think that someone might actually step up and give us a viable alternative.

That said, it is a good moral victory for NJPW/RoH to steal Madison Square Garden away from WWE.
