Quote People at a recent New Japan Pro Wrestling show were openly talking about former WWE star David Hart Smith returning to work there. Vladimir Kozlov, likely because of his size and experience in combat sports, was also mentioned.

Partial source: F4Wonline.com

New Japan being interested in bland guys just because they are big in size, should come as no surprise to anyone.

Japanese wrestling is supposed to be about "tradition" so they will go crazy for David Hart just because who his reletives are.

Kozlov would be a surprise. I don't see what he can add to the product unless they want him to put over their own guys.

A-Train was bland as fuck before starting to work in New Japan. He's now part of the most dominant tag teams in New Japan and it gave new life to his career. I really can't see how it would do wrong for Harry Smith and Vladimir Kozlov to work there as well. I'm pretty sure MVP can put in a good word for both guys.

So im seeing alot of posts about NJPW and it has intrigued me quite a bit ...

Where is the best place to watch it?
When does it air?
Ive seen the Wrestle Kingdom posts being active of late - is now the best time to start watching?
Who are the guys to look out for?

They have a English language NJPW World that you pay for if that's what you're looking for...there's always err ways around that of course.

As far airing i'll let someone else deal with that side of it. If you can watch WK 12...then follow it up with New Years Dash (I haven't got that far yet) then you'll see the end of the previous years storylines and the start of the build for the current year...a bit like the Raw after Mania.

As for who to look out for...it has something for everyone. Obviously the big names in Okada and Omega are going to always be mentioned...but in honesty there's not many who I would say avoid haha.

ATM you can just google "watch wrestle kingdom 12" and get some good links to that. WK12 was booked very well for crossover fans like us who speak English and aren't all that accustomed to the NJPW originals.

Cody Rhodes has a match, Davey Boy Smith Jr. has a match (and he looks better than ever before IMO), and Kenny Omega vs Jericho is great. I would start with watching those matches. Then check out the tag team gauntlet. The Fifita family (Haku's boys) aka Guerrillas of Destiny "GoD" is great.

I want to see, but have not yet seen the start of the new feud between Jericho and Naito.

I may watch the matches you mention to see what all the fuss is about, the US connection is smart to draw in the non-Japanese fan, after all only a select few fans will sit through the all Japanese stuff.

If NJPW could sign a major US talent like Daniel Bryan or CM Punk or both that could be a game changer, as things stand Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks just aren’t enough of a draw for me to take a solid interest. Omega vs Jericho was a step in the right direction but Y2J is WWE through and through and near the end of his in ring career anyway. They need a couple of major names to make fans sit up and take notice and then maybe the Neville’s and Dolph Zigglers will follow then maybe guys like Cesaro, Chris Hero, Sami Zayn and Bobby Roode may too.
