You've forgotten about Lou that is being killed off end of the year because he wants to leave. So i take it that Stingray dies during giving bone marrow to save his daughter? Then baby Kerry dies anyway. That storyline is way to serious for a lighthearted show. It's the sort of storyline i would expect from our soap operas not yours. The last post before your most recent one you said Boggs that Sky was staying but not your saying she is leaving. Well at least you will be right one way or another haha.

Looking at Wikipedia, damn they've got huge familys on Neighbours and it gives good detail on the character and that helps. Havent heard about Lou leaving either but that will be a huge loss to Neighbours when that happens.

Lou was axed in 1996 but I don't think he's leaving it's just a rumor on a tabloid magazine.

I think the show needs to go back to basics. Way too many character changes and the light hearted part of the show isn't around as much now. You would have thought seeing a lesbian kiss in Neighbours would never happen. Why are they bringing in yet another new family? They should simply bring back Libby, Mal, Darren etc and base the show around a already established family. The Robinson's behaviour would have Helen Daniels turning in her grave. The Guy and Katya stuff didn't interest me at all. And now the stuff with Paul and Ned is only going to annoy me more.

Ned annoys me more then Paul because Paul is always at his best when he he has top storylines and Ned he just lacks passion for the show.

Paul shows more emotion I don't really see Paul cry as much as he did when Cameron died.

As I was watching Neighbours spoilers the other day for what will not be on here for three months I got stuck on Elle. Pippa Black was wearing a red summer dress whilst sat on Janelle's couch and the cleveage on show was very nice. She doesn't need that though because she can act, her accent is cute and she looks amazing. She's not Sky though let me make that perfectly clear lol. I like Rosie but it's getting kinda annoying how she seems to be in nearly every episode these days. She is like a female Paul Robinson in that way.

Our gold nominees Natalie Blair (Carmella from Neighbours) and Rove McManus are going for gold this year at the Logies which will happen tonight.

I can see Rove winning by sympathy vote since his wife (Belinda Emmet) died.

Quote The BBC1 controller, Peter Fincham, has confirmed that the BBC has lost its daytime ratings banker Neighbours after 21 years on the network.
Mr Fincham broke the news that the corporation had lost the soap on BBC1's One O'Clock news bulletin today, saying it was a "sad day" for the channel. Neighbours will disappear from BBC1 when the current contract ends in the spring of next year.

It is not yet clear where the soap will end up, but ITV and Channel Five are understood to be bidding for the show.

The BBC said in a statement: "We have this afternoon formally withdrawn from the bidding for Neighbours."

"The BBC has had a long and fruitful relationship with Neighbours, which has transmitted on BBC1 for 21 years, and this has come to an end because of an unrealistic price demand.

"We do not believe that we could have justified to BBC viewers a price tag of what would have amounted to some 300m across the term of the contract. Paying that sum would also have compromised our ability to invest in new original programmes. We made a fair offer and are sad that we have not been able to reach terms with Fremantle."

The loss of Neighbours will deal a huge blow to the BBC1 schedule, where it pulls in around 3 million viewers for its 1.35pm lunchtime showing and around 2.6 million for its 5.35pm repeat.

It also marks the end of an era - Neighbours has been broadcast on BBC1 since 1986.

The announcement follows heated negotiations between the BBC and Fremantle, the RTL subsidiary that distributes Neighbours.

Corporation have insiders attacked the show's distributor for "unrealistic and greedy" demands during the negotiations.

During the talks, a senior BBC source explained that relations with Freemantle were strained.

He told MediaGuardian.co.uk late last month: "What [Freemantle] don't appear to understand is that this is a daytime soap opera, not a peak-time drama, and if they can get the money they want then good luck to them but it would be damaging to them.

"They may get that money but they have damaged their credibility with the way they have behaved.

"They also don't seem to realise that one of the reasons the show has the status it does in Australia is that it is shown on the BBC. Let them see what happens if it goes elsewhere."

Neighbours would plug a hole in ITV1's afternoon schedule, which has struggled since the loss of Home and Away to Five and the defection of Paul O'Grady to Channel 4.

Neighbours could also be used on ITV2, which is also looking for a "teen-oriented soap".

ITV could follow the lead of Five, which runs Home and Away on its main network at 6pm, then gives viewers a first look at the next episode immediately afterwards on digital channel Five Life.

Everyone should boycott Neighbours as of next year to show the greedy Aussies we will not put up with tradition being messed with. I refuse to watch a show past it's prime with adverts on. This is a sad day indeed. Channel Five will now ruin the show even more by putting it on primetime against one of the soaps with a five times bigger audience like Emmerdale. Freemantle got greedy and have forgotten that BBC made Neighbours what it is. Hell it's more popular here than in bloody Australia.

Adelaide Kane Lolly Allen Exits June 29[30]
This has been updated so she's not leaving until then but she will be back by the end of the year.

I don't get why she is leaving and then coming back. Maybe she needed time off for exams. She's not a bad character on the show and plays a pretty good part. The whole Paul Robinson storyline is being played well in Australia at the moment. It seems he gets all the good stuff as the show is centered around him. The two situations with Sky and Mad Mary are two good storylines as well and works well to eventually write out Stephanie Mcintosh. Would like for them to bring back Mark Little again like they did a couple of years ago.
