    Posted: 21/August/2010 at 04:24
Here are just a few of my characters from a comic book I write (some of them have yet to be implimented but will be soon). Basically, the overall premise is the main character is in a Japanese Professional Wrestling Leauge where all of the Wrestlers have Superpowers in the way that super heroes do, but the kicker is that he doesn't have any powers and must rely on his skills to win matches. Here are just a few characters, I'll put some more of them as I go along.

Jack Knife

An Austrailian with the power to generate kenetic "Jack Knife" bolts from his hands. He was raised by his father in the Outback of Australia, who taught him how to wrestle crocodiles and other dangerous wild creatures. One day his Dad was killed by a crocodile. At the age of 12, Jack was able to track down the very croc who killed his father, kill the croc, and wear one of its teeth around his neck. After his Father Died, Jack was taken in and taught the art of professional wrestling from his Sheep Hearding Uncles from New Zealand.

Thunderweight

One of the primary antagonists from the Series, he has the power to control Lightning. He began his career in Osaka back in 1970, but he never tasted real success until he became a more ruthless, conniving rulebreaker in the mid 90's, and from there he grew to become the most dominant heel in the business.

Victoria Payne

Daughter of Major Payne (former Major in the British Army turned pro wrestler [now retired]), she has the power to control rain. Since her father never had a son to carry on his name, Victoria has always had the burden of trying to measure up to her father, never being able to make him proud of her accomplishments as a Cadet in the Royal Air Force, or as a pro wrestler.

Captain Atlas

A former Captain in the US Marine Corps, a patriotic jerk with the power to grow up to 14 feet tall. Often one of the secondary antagonists of the series.

Kyle Eastman

The main Character from my series, he has no super powers and must rely on his skills and determination to beat his super powered opponents.

Tsunami

The first Champion of the promotion, Tsunami won the title back in 1970 and held the belt for almost 35 years, defeating all who dared to Challenge him. Standing at over 12 feet tall and weighing close to 600 pounds, Tsunami was one of the most fearsome sights in all of the World, making him one of wrestling's truely great spectacles.

Very interesting background in many of these characters; and that is light years better than anything I myself could draw. My favorite character out of those is Karl Eastman, because of the fact he has no superpowers. He's like the Batman of Eric Mulder creations or whatever you call your comic universe.

That's what I was going for exactly, when I orignally created this idea (back when I was like 13-14 ish) I was going to give him powers, but then I thought "what will make him different from the rest of the guys"? So I said take the powers away from him, making him an interesting character in the series. Oh, and thanks too, glad you like um.

Rosemary Cross

A devote Catholic from Germany who has the power to generate force fields that can block other powers, one of the various women fighters in the XWF's Women's Division. Her will to fight stemmed from a vision she had of Joan of Arc.

James Crowe (This is an older picture I did using Paint Tool, not my favorite one but still shows what can be done with a limited program)

Son of deceased wrestler Marcus "Gravedigger" Grady and Emily Crowe, James hails from Holloway (and is an avid supporter of Arsenal). Like his father, James has the power to manipulate 'Hellfire', an unsual ability that allows him to tap into a person's head to bring forth their darkest fears. These fears manifest themselves into almost lifelike projections for the sufferer, but cause intense emotional draining on the user as well.

The Hockey nut is Jimmy Anderson, a native of Canada with the power of invincibility. However in order to maintain his immunity to pain it saps most of his stamina, so he gets winded pretty fast. His brother, Smilin Rick (the Hardcore Hippie below him) shares his power as well. I got the idea for Jimmy Anderson from watching Mick Foley.

I actually haven't put any of these online yet but I am working on rebooting the first issue ( wrote it almost 8 years ago and I have improved a lot since then) but when I get it done I will put it up sometime
