    Posted: 10/June/2009 at 15:26

Quote The Daily Advertiser out of Louisiana recently conducted an interview with Mike "The Miz" Mizanin, saying it was always his dream to become a professional wrestler.

"WWE has always been a dream of mine. As a kid, I used to dream of being Hulk Hogan," Mizanin said. "Watching in high school, I never thought I could be at that level. I've been working really hard to get there. It's incredible. Not very many people get to do what I'm doing."

Click here to read the article in its entirety.

* He doesn't really want to be saying he was an Hulk Hogan fan if he wants to stay looking credible lol.

* It's no surprise he's won the respect of his peers because he's worked his butt off to improve his ability.

* If it's always been a dream of his there's no need to worry about him leaving to try something else.

I dont think theres any shame of Miz sayen he is a Hogan fan growing up because others have confessed the same (John Cena for one), so yeah I think alot of the guys idolised Hogan when they were kids.

Shit, I even used to idolize Hogan as a small kid before I wised up a bit.  That happened right around Mania X.  Now I wouldn't piss on him if he was on fire, but lots of kids in the 80's idolized Hogan and The Warrior, that's just the way it was.  Include Edge in that list as well.

Ha ... I couldn't stand Hogan then & I can't stand him now so nothings really changed. I liked Warrior to bad the guy couldn't control himself damn animal. Im glad the Miz has stepped up & brought his game to another level hopefully he can make some new moves then he'll be 1 step closer to being a singles Champion.

I was twelve years old when i started watching wrestling and even then i wasnt much of a Hogan fan, now i cant stand him.
I confess to being a Ultimate Warrior fan back in the day though! Warrior and Randy Savage were my favorites along with Bret Hart and Davey Boy Smith.

Can't stand Hogan. His entire wrestling persona outside the nWo days has been proven to be a complete farce. His relationship with his little Brooke-tini reeks of all kinds of creepy. And he is one of the prime cut old dorkchops whose desire to hog the power forever in WCW only accomplished the feat of leading to the killing of WCW.

But I can understand why, in an era where people still thought this game was real, guys like Edge, John Cena, the Miz, etc. would all idolize him as kids.

As a kid, I idolised Hogan, Warrior and Savage, then I idolised The Kliq and Bret Hart, then when the new era began (the Attitude Era), I loved D-Generation X, Stone Cold, Rock, Undertaker and so on, but now-days meh theres no one there I can put my finger on that I like, I dont mind Edge now and again, but yeah, I don't think theres anyone there that will catapult my interest back into wrestling like the Hogans, Savages, Warriors did back in the late 80's/early 90's to the New Generation Era to the Attitude Era.

Quote Timesleader.com has an interview up with The Miz, hyping WWE Raw at the Wachovia Arena in Wilkes-Barre, PA Monday night.

* Seems everyone wants to ask a wrestler in a interview what they think of The Wrestler.

* It's a poor interview in that it tells us very little that hasn't already been said a million times.

* Ask him who might break through to main event, if he wants to be babyface one day, what it's like working for Vince etc.

They probably have restrictions placed on them as to what they can actually ask.  I believe that happens a lot for WWE talent.
