Going to give this a bump. My issues are seemingly under control again, even though i've done nothing to try and counter it back let it run it's course, mental health is one weird thing!

Also how are you going Monkee? Everything good?

i've been suffering bizarre sleep patterns that haven't helped my mood, but otherwise, i think i'm getting there. a friend of mine has spruced up my CV, so that should help with work, another has advised me to try an OU course in Media, then try to get my teaching degree, so it's good to know that i not only have friends, but ones that have confidence in me when i don't have much in myself.

Teaching Degree is an excellent idea. Luckily i've got by without it so far but I do need to do it soon. However, if you have a degree already, you'll only need to do a PTLLS course to be allowed to teach Confused

If you have a degree you're better of doing a PGCE.

no degree, even if i did have one, it would be print journalism related, not media, which is apparently the way to go right now, so will have to do a full media course and then get a teaching degree, but it all takes about the same amount of time, so any route after the media degree is good.

Depends if you want to teach adults or kids. As far as i'm aware though if you have a degree you only need the PTLLS to be able to teach at set levels. Personally i'd never teach kids especially with the power they have in their hands this day in age.

Bumpy time.

So I thought my issues are under control, well the anxiety side of things is well and truly under control but I did one of those depression test things at the doctors as i've felt a little down recently, and it turns out that sheet says I the top end of mild depression so they've put me on funky green and yellow tablets called fluoxetine, which is prozac to you and me LOL.

How you getting on Monkee, all still moving along nicely?

Hope your doing ok Baz

When I took the DASS last year (most common depression/ anxiety test) my score was so far off the scale they basically wrapped me in bubble wrap after they saw the results. Then I had another test (called the Spovi) which diagnosed me with Emetophobia.

What sucked about it all was I wasn't allowed on medication for the depression side of it as that would of interrupted treatment for the Emetophobia. I could only do relaxation exercises that do nothing really.

Doing psychology I have found it is crazy how the brain really works and how little control you really have of it.
All Hail Mitchell Johnson and David Warner.

Did you really have a fear of sickness then? I don't mean to sound ignorant but what could they really put you on for emetophobia just anti-emetics?

I'm not doing too badly to be honest, got myself a bit worked up a couple of times which lead to the anxiety kicking in, but  work have been a big help too so that's a weight off my shoulders.
