Not watched Raw yet but I did go online and find the Hardy/Wyatt segment.

I have to say this was the most entertaining I have ever found either of these two, never been a fan of Bray’s rambling gibberish and the little I’ve seen of ‘Broken Matt Hardy’ I mostly found a bit ridiculous but last night these two trading crazy ramblings with each other it just worked somehow, I enjoyed it.

This will initially be a feud by the looks of things but I do like the idea of a loose alliance between these two.

Agreed. The Broken Hardyz bit was too much for my tastes. I liked the Wyatt's and his promos, but it's been a few years now and I'm ready for more from him and his development. These two together look like they'll more or less just work.

I haven't been interested in much the men have been doing lately, but this I like. I'll definitely be following this storyline going forward.

The weirdest segment Raw has seen since Hs dressed as Kane and tried to fuck a dead Katie Vick in a coffin.

You can tell how little say Matt has on the gimmick compared to TNA, because the segment was produced just how any other E promo is, no different.

They have to go dark with Matt like when Randall fued with Bray and set fire to his compound. We need darker lighting, dodgy camera work etc for a different feel.

that's exactly why the gimmick will work a bit better than it did in TNA, as TNA allowed him far too much control, and it jumped the shark very early into its run.

I don't agree he doesn't have as much control; Hardy is probably one of a handful of guys that WWE can trust to be given the bullet points for your promo rather than a full script, plus it was the Broken gimmick that made WWE notice him again. Jeff being injured has become a blessing in disguise, as this means the issues between who owns the gimmick have been resolved for some time, and if Jeff were still healthy, I don't think we'd have seen this for a good while longer, perhaps after the next draft if they were split.

I have waited for this for some time, and it's definitely going to work better going off against Wyatt. I mean, fuck it, Wyatt can wear the dress he was going to against Balor now, as batshit crazy against batshit crazy works here!

This is going to be absolutely hilarious and for me it benefits them both.

Matt needed something because with Jeff out of action, he has nothing to do and he just isnt as over when he's Matt Hardy.

As Woken Matt - he is super over already, he has the "Delete" catchphrase, he is entertaining and edgy and something that WWE dont really have

This will benefit Wyatt because he has quite quickly went from a future WWE champion to the most irrelevant act on the roster.

Past booking has ruined Wyatt and now he just seems to be used to get others over

agreed, even what should have been money feuds, like Wyatt Balor, were relegated to dumbness for no reason. the good thing about this feud is it allows those kind of ideas to work for both men.

and even then, it doesn't necessarily have to fall into comedy wrestling,

this is certainly a much better way for the company to go than pairing Wyatt up with Strowman and potentially derailing the latter's career.

Yeah I agree I think Matt has control of this gimmick, just not the level of control he had in TNA as I’m pretty sure they just let him run free with the character and come up with everything. In WWE they will want final say over his creative and will have a lot of input but I still think much of the stuff used will be the brainchild of Matt Hardy.

This is a good thing as in TNA things got a bit too wacky and over the top, WWE will know when to say no that’s taking it too far and they can probably add a bit of gloss and make the gimmick better.

I loved the Raw promo, if the character continues along those lines I have no complaints.

I loved the video and the mannerisms haha, then again I enjoyed the Broken stuff in TNA so this Woken stuff should be just as glorious.

Quote According to a new report from Cagesideseats.com, there is talk within WWE of bringing back “The Wyatt Family Compound” featuring a Bray Wyatt vs. Matt Hardy match.

It should be noted that last Monday’s WWE RAW segment featuring Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt has drawn over 2 million views on YouTube.com. As previously reported, Vince McMahon is very high on Matt Hardy’s “Woken” character and is such a believer in his passion for the character that Hardy will be allowed a creative license over it.

That would be so good to see. Very different to things we've seen before and that's a huge plus.

The problem is it would need to be done on PPV for full affect and Raw doesn't have their own PPV for ages.

It could be put on Royal Rumble but a big four event doesn't need this selling point as much as a exclusive show.

Not surprised in the least. I made mention of it before but that New Day vs Wyatt Family segment reminded me of that stuff Matt & Jeff did at that lakehouse.
