I’m glad he finally had a decent run under his hall of pain gimmick where for a limited time at least he was a headliner. I think he would have had a longer run at the top if he could have remained injury free.

Would be nice if he could wrestle a retirement match and get a little send off on Raw.

This is basically a summation of Mark Henry's entire career. His first year in the WWF was 1996. That year he had an injury in one of his very first matches while feuding with Jerry Lawler. After that, it seemed like every year Mizark (I love calling him that) had an annual injury.

As someone who likes big guys in the ring, I did enjoy watching Mark Henry; but it took him a very long time to hit his stride and learn how work a good psychological match even without injuries. I agree his 2008-2011 run were his best in ring years. As far as storyline goes, I actually liked his relationship with Mae Young (although I won't comment on the hand incident.)

I also agree he deserves a send off of some sort. He is a 20 plus year veteran and no doubt a future Hall of Famer.

If Mark Henry is truly retired, I'd love to see a surprise Rumble entry as Sexual Chocolate.  That would be amazing and an awesome way to go out.  Hell, have him come back as that character...have Godfather make a surprise appearance and have them dance with the hoes back up the ramp.  Fans would dig that as a fun farewell to Henry.

I would love Henry in the Rumble one last time (he was in the Rumble last year.) Your Godfather idea is good, but at some point I would love a Nation of Domination get together.

In an update on Mark Henry’s status with WWE, he is still under contract with the company but is said to be at the end of his run and is not expected to return to the ring.

With that being said, Henry will still wrestle if he’s asked to do so but there are currently no plans to have him featured in any sort of storyline angles.

I wouldn't be against him being part time, coming in 2-3 times a year for month long fueds that end with him putting someone over.

He's always a good pick to use to make someone look better in situations like the ATGMBR.

When he goes in the HOF he should be the top pick of that year for his twenty plus years there.

Honestly at this point in time he is better off riding off into the sunset.

He shouldn't be coming back to make a top star look good they are already established and jobbing out to midcarders who may or may not get to the top would be a waste of his time as well.

He's done more then enough to get himself into the hall of fame within the next few years.

Quote Mark Henry confirmed on Twitter that he will be returning to the ring this Friday as part of the Greatest Royal Rumble. This was already rumored when Henry appeared in the latest promotional poster for the event. While he is a Hall of Famer and has transitioned into a predominantly non-wrestling role with WWE, there is always the chance that Henry could be asked to compete in battle royal or Royal Rumble type matches.

I have no issue with this. Just because he's in the HOF doesn't mean he can't still wrestle occasionally when he needs to be a company guy and step up.

If nothing else we get to hear his theme song, which is badass and totally suits his character.

He's not going to win, but being a HOF guy should mean he's closer to the end of the match than he would have been before he got inducted, so to not make a new inductee look too weak.

Why not? If Michael Cole, JBL, & Jerry Lawler can all enter a Royal Rumble match even as they're commentating at ringside, why not Mark Henry in a 50 man rumble match?
