No Dodgers fan is even welcome in my presence. Online or in person... That is all.

Diamondbacks. I hate the Dodgers because they are in the NL West, (Although I do not hate the Rockies...) and because of Mannywood. Manny is a piece of shit and his steroids knocked the Dbacks out of their 1st place playoff spot in 08?

Went to Northern Arizona for college I've dealt with many of you snakes, unfortunately I'm a bit like St. Patrick when it comes to the snakes!

I think we have a very clear winner of the World Series in the Dodgers this year. They are simply the best team in baseball today and I can't imagine them blowing it in the big games this time around. It was great seeing the Cubs win it last year after 108 years, but my god they have fallen a bit since. Yeah, they aren't terrible, but they clearly aren't the same team they were at this time last year.

At this point, I have no reason to believe that the Dodgers won't get it done this year.

As a lifelong fan of the Bums, they've not won a World Series since I was barely a year old. I'll wait until Kershaw throws in the playoffs like he does in the regular season.

I don't know who here follows baseball (the greatest sport that there is after wrestling) but there are a couple of baseball happenings I want to make note of.

First, I want to talk about this Red Sox trade. The Red Sox (who seem to have a history of trading with the Dodgers as a couple years ago they sent Josh Becket and Carl Crawford there) this time sent Mookie Betts and David Price to the Dodgers. Of course both of these players were key members of their 2018 World Series Championship. Boston definitely had an off year last year but I had no doubt they are capable of bouncing back. But apparently the reports are that they want to stay under the luxury tax. Now the team will be hard pressed to compete in 2020, making the Yankees tough to beat.

The Dodgers meanwhile have won two recent pennants and came up short in the World Series each time. I myself am still flabbergasted they traded Yasiel Puig, who I thought would be a key part of the team for years to come. But now the Dodgers have someone who is possibly the best outfielder in the game and further solidified their pitching staff. This may put them over the hump.

Secondly, there is this proposed change to the playoff format. There is a plan to add more teams to the playoffs and then have this weird thing where the first place team in each league gets a first round bye while the other division winners pick their opponents out of the other playoff teams. I am a traditionalist in baseball and in general want less teams to make the playoffs, as it used to be prior to 1994. But if this gets rid of the one game wild card I am all for it; because that was an asinine idea from the start. No team should fight to earn a playoff place all season and then lose it in one game.

People are making a big hoopla about Trevor Bauer's tweet where he said Commissioner Manfred had "no clue about baseball" and called him a "joke" over this proposal. I agree Manfred has no clue about baseball is an absolute cancer to the sport but this isn't the worst thing he's done or come up with.

I'm not going to get into this sign stealing scandal as I think the whole thing was blown way out of proportion and I see sign stealing as a part of the game, even if technology is used. I know many will disagree. But the commissioner cleaned house and three managers on three teams (A.J. Hinch of the Astros, Alex Cora of the Red Sox, and Carlos Beltran of my Mets) have been ousted because of this.
