Quote When Bryan Danielson leaves ROH, Jay Briscoe and referee Paul Turner, who worked the first ROH show, will be the longest tenured performers for the company. Mark Briscoe was at the first show, but did not compete.

* And with how good Mark Briscoe is in the ring I don't imagine him sticking around all that much longer.

* He probably will want a fresh challenge after being in ROH for so long and doing most of what he could.

* As for the referee he probably would enjoy then being known as the longest reigning performer.

The Briscoes are the best tag team in wrestling besides Beer Money. Better than Motor City because Motor City hasn't done anything adn never won the tag titles.

One tag team, or one guy from it, that should be signed by WWE/TNA is Kevin Steen... If you want to keep the tag team going Steen and El Generico.

Anyways. The Briscoes have soo much wrestling ability and have put on some of ROH best matches and feuds. Their feud with Steen and Generico in 07 was fantastic! The Ladder War match was the match of the year for ROH and even helped that PPV, Man Up win PPV of the year in 07.

The briscoes are great. But there promos need work.   They ll get new names for sure.  Would they have to change up there gimmick?  I think the briscoes are awesome but i dont think that they're ready for wwe yet.

WWE is not ready for the Briscoes. They are on a whole other level of wrestling and entertainment.

That depends on whether you feel winning titles makes someone better or not.  The Briscoes are a great team, I have no problem with that, and I like Beer Money but you can't say that these teams are better than MCMG just because MCMG have never won the tag titles.  AND BTW, they've held the IWGP Junior tag titles which is probably the second best tag team championship in the world.  (Sorry but you knew that would get me on my high horse, right? Wink)
But yeah, I like the Briscoes.  Selfishly, I would like to see them on TNA as they have a healthier tag team scene.

MCMG are the best tag team in the world as far as im concerned and its a crime how poorly used they are in TNA at present.

Any talent should never be judged on the number of titles they have won but on their performances and consistency.

As I dont watch ROH I cant really have a opinion on the Briscoes but ive only heard good things about them and agree with Steph that they would be a nice addition to the TNA tag-team division which is starting to get stale now and really needs some fresh blood.

Any tag-team should avoid WWE like the plague as Vince Mcmahon clearly has no time for tag-team wrestling anymore, he sees it as a dated concept.

You're right, and that's what I meant to say.

I don't think I'll disagree with you on that one. Steen's got everything to succeed in this business. The only thing though is I'm not sure that he would ever be allowed to use the Package Piledriver in the WWE. So, he could be a better fit with TNA because he could easily bully the guys in the X-Division and he could have kickass matches with Styles, Daniels and Joe.

OK. I will go further as to why MCMG aren't the best.

Neither one will be main eventers, Roode and Storm both have the look and potential to do so.

MCMG simply have not done enough as a team, maybe feuding with 3D for a second, but that feud sucked.

IWGP JR??? 2nd best? TNA, IWGP Heavy, RoH, IWGP jr. And that is just based on the last year, really over the entire history it would have WWE Tag and NWA, but what ever.

Motor City isn't over THAT MUCH. MCMG are the indy film with a large cult following. Heck you could say the same for the Briscoes, but every one knows of Beer Money and even E marks admit to them being the best today.

To EdgeHead, I think that Steen is one of the best technical guys today. While he doesn't really have a look, he does have a different look. He is a bit pudgey but he can hold his own and some times out shine people much smaller.

You don't know that neither one will be a main eventer.  Perhaps you don't think they will be but they are only young yet and just because they are not getting the push they need right now doesn't determine that they do not have the ability or star quality required to become a main event player.  (When clearly they do!)

Robert Roode is an excellent performer and I could see him as a main eventer in singles competition for sure, but Sabin and Shelley arguably have more of a future ahead of them than James Storm who, I believe, has reached his plateau.  (And that's not to say I don't think he's talented, it just means I don't think he has the potential to be a main player).  The Guns have a lot more potential in them and not to mention more time ahead to enable them to secure solid singles runs.  BUT we were talking about tag teams.  Of course the MCMG feud with 3D sucked, because basically, TNA have decided that 3D are their premier tag team.  MCMG are considered 'X Division' - there was no way they would have an interesting or innovative feud with any of the high placed teams simply because of this glass ceiling placed on the heads of the young players.  To get to my point, just because of these things they should not be discounted from consideration of being one of the best teams out there.

They are unbelievably talented.  Their matches (singles and tag team) are consistently high quality.  Even their dark matches are performed to amazing technical standard.  Can the same be said for Beer Money or even the Briscoes?  This is one of the reasons why I think MCMG are the best.  They are very entertaining.  I don't go for titles or for who the bookers tell me are the best, I can decide for myself.  MCMG, despite efforts to keep them placed low card, demonstrate excellent wrestling matches; they have bucketloads of charm; they have the look (one of the criterion you suggested for Beer Money); and they have a bright future.  And yes, they are over - I don't think it's a cult following as you suggest.

Beer Money are great.  They are in a good position in TNA and would hope that MCMG get to feud with them some point soon.

In all honesty it comes down to preferences I guess.  I like my wrestlers to be able to wrestle with style.  That's why I like MCMG, and that's why I subjectively believe IWGP Jr belts are the second most important tag titles today (not in history but at this current time).  A lot of the 'western' teams couldn't hold a candle to some of the teams in Japan.

Anyway, before I get slammed for making this into a MCMG love fest, just wanted to throw in my ideas about the criteria being used to assess greatness.   It shouldn't be based on titles held or bookers opinion.  But seriously, Beer Money are not the best.  Tongue  The Briscoes and MCMG are more comparable as teams anway.  And I like the Young Bucks, and Apollo 55 too.  All four teams could be considered as some of the best in the world before Beer Money get a look in  Wink
