I take no notice of post counts so really don’t care but I see the point being made, it’s a easy way to boost your count with a lot of quick one line posts and double-posting etc.

In fairness it’s still contributing to the forum so I would say leave it be.

You guys have the most polite arguments sometimes.

There's a lot to agree with here. I have to agree completely with the idea that if people don't want spoilers, don't go into a live thread. It's really that simple.

Out of interest, how many show reviews do we get here. It sounds from this discussion as if you get 15 or 20 a show and I severely doubt that. The second a show ends the discussion will largely die down anyway. If you're worried your review isn't getting the attention it deserves then post it later.

To me this seems like a lot of worrying over small things. Reviews I've covered. Spoilers I've covered. Post count to me is just such a non-entity. I have a post count of virtually nothing here and yet I still got a poster of the month so I'm clearly quite highly valued for my contributions.

Is it possible that post count can be turned off for a whole forum? If so you could start a live forum (there really will be no excuses for spoilers then) and then have one thread per show (as in one thread for every Raw between now and eternity rather than one per week) one for PPVs et cetera and potentially one for show reviews.

Small numbers of threads, high number of posts. Very well contained and spoiler heavy.

Because I live tweet this literally doesn't affect me at all; I'll never be in live threads and my post count will always be low. Thought I'd still share my opinions anyway.

Quote You guys have the most polite arguments sometimes.

These days Adders, Baz, Fletch, Myself and now Heel pretty much control the tempo of the forum. We all get along well so it helps to keep things civil with everyone else, at least unless and until our numbers grow to the point where it's just not enough.

But if/when that ever happens I'm assuming one or all of the 4 us will be made into mods by Adders, and that will re-establish ourselves as the guys that set the tempo and feel around here again.

Quote Out of interest, how many show reviews do we get here. It sounds from this discussion as if you get 15 or 20 a show and I severely doubt that.

We don't really get many reviews, if we reach 10 of them, we've had a big turnout.

I'm not even really sure where this conversation came from, but I get the impression it came from an argument between Heel and Adders in the shoutbox. Adders likes thread creation to be done a certain way around here, and it's a bit different from most other forums, yet IMO makes more sense. So I'm just guessing that Heel made a thread Adders thought didn't need to be made thus this thread here.

The discussion came from me making the Live Discussion Thread.

Adders didn't want it at first but surrendered to the peer pressure of me and Fletch.

The topic of reviews was raised by Kon wondering if they were to be posted in the actual PPV thread or the Live discussion thread - i believe it was agreed that they would go into the general ppv thread.
