Um... only if it was done in the same damned segment, which it shouldn't have. I suppose the excuse could be that 'she was injured' so she didn't get around to it, but seriously, Angle fought Stephanie and caused all this trouble, so he should be in the deepest of shit with Stephanie as Commissioner and he as her General Manager.

Anyone hear about Angle needing time off for a surgery or anything like that? I'm just wondering if Angle is legitimately going to be gone for a while from TV, or if, even though he was relieved of his duties he might still be around? I have to admit that Baron Corbin as an authority figure is pretty good. I've always found him so boring it's pathetic, but I'm warming up to him like this. Even so I'd prefer to still have Kurt Angle around. Maybe he'll wrestle? I would love it if Corbin forced Angle to wrestle in 'embarrassing' and 'unfair' matches as a form of revenge.

Good. Despite the rubbish he can sometimes come out with, I did miss him this past monday.
Steph worded it to him that he wouldn't be away long, so he should be back next week or the week after at the latest.
Seeing Kurt in a one on one match in E should be a special occasion, as it's been so long.

So after not working a singles match in WWE for around 12 years Kurt loses to Dolph Ziggler clean at Crown Jewel and on Raw he lost to McIntyre, what was interesting was the booking of the match with McIntyre, of course Drew won clean but extremely easily and using Kurts own hold, Angle was completely jobbed out in humiliating fashion, Drew dominated him and walked to a easy victory.
Not sure if this is all part of a storyline which is building to something bigger for Kurt but surprises me that he’s being booked this way, there was money in several dream matches between Kurt and several members of the roster that could have been booked at major PPV events but they’ve all big killed his star power by jobbing him out in two fairly low key matches. Maybe WWE don’t have faith in Angle’s in ring ability anymore and think that as he’s lost a step best just to use him to enhance younger talent. Edited by Fletch - 06/November/2018 at 20:17 |

Horrible booking. He looked like a old man who didn't belong there and should have been on Main Event with talent like B Team and other Raw jobbers. How bad the defeat was for Kurt was played up as the show went off air and with a close up of him looking upset, so I suspect the loss happened for a reason and is leading somewhere for him. He's a HOF top level guy and babyface, yet couldn't avoid either of his own finishers and tapped out. You could hear the crowd gasps as soon as it happened in shock.

He did look really bad, but you know what? He's also the Raw GM and the first ever Hall of Fame inductee to wrestle multiple matches for the WWE following his induction. Throughout history it's been a pretty clear cut case of getting inducted in the WWE HoF means your in-ring career is over. To me, this just shows that being inducted shows your career is over. Look at Ric Flair & Shawn Michaels. Dude they look like shit in the ring, and no matter how much people might want to see HBK wrestle, he just ain't HBK anymore, and Angle isn't the monster he used to be either. Stay retired, if you need to put people over once in a while, fine, but that's it.

Kurt isn't there to look good; he's there to make people buy tickets and watch matches where other people look good. McIntyre beat Kurt Angle by submission in the main event of Raw. You can make a career off of that.

More so if it had happened as a match at the end of a long storyline, with the pay off on PPV.
Credit to Kurt, but if that kind of defeat becomes a regular thing people will stop caring about him.
His first match on Raw for 12 years (one on one too) and it taking place on a foreign tour should have been made much more of a big deal.

Yeah that was exactly my point. I have no issue with Kurt Angle being used to put young talent over, my issue was that after having Kurt back in the company for so long without wrestling a singles match they decide to more or less give his first singles outings away in a low key match at Crown Jewel and then against McIntyre on Raw.
Using veteran Kurt to enhance a up and comer is smart but do it on a PPV for a bigger pay off. On a positive note the booking of Drew McIntyre was superb, he looked a absolute beast I can’t remember when WWE last booked a heel so strongly. Edited by Fletch - 09/November/2018 at 17:48 |

The negative for me is Kurt answering a open challenge. His few and far between matches should be better promoted to feel more special.
I don't currently see what he's going to be doing at Wrestlemania. I would rather he wasn't on the card if all he's going to do is be part of the ATGMBR.
