McMahon says the show must go on. Since the commissioner is out of action and there is no GM, it’s time to name a new General Manager. This man was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Teddy Long’s music hits, and the 2017 Hall Of Fame inductee comes out to the stage dancing. McMahon angrily tells the truck to stop his music and demands he stop dancing. McMahon says it isn’t him. Long is confused. Long says, "My bad – Holla, holla, holla!" McMahon then announces the new General Manager of RAW, but no one comes out. Finally McMahon says, "Ladies and gentlemen, your new General Manager of RAW – Kurt Angle!"

The crowd loudly pops as Kurt Angle makes his way to the ring smiling. The crowd loudly chants, "You Suck" along with his music. McMahon hands him the microphone and leaves the ring. A loud, "Welcome back" chant fires up. Angle says it’s great to be back on Monday Night RAW. Angle finishes by saying, "Oh it’s true… it’s DAMN true!"

Lovely troll by E. I'd have gone one step further and kept Long as GM, sack him at the end of the show and save Kurt until next week to wind up the live crowd.

I know people want him to wrestle a few times a year. I agree but the build up for his first match back should take a year until next Wrestlemania.

I'd like him to be building up tension with a number of his roster so it keeps us guessing who might be his first match back in 12 months time at Wrestlemania 34.

Angle seemed a bit rusty on his naive comedic timing. He knew where to go and how to do it, but with his timing a bit off the humor fell a bit flat. Regardless, I still appreciated that he mentioned "that's not how you spell soft" after his interaction with Cass and Enzo. It was a classic bit of Angle-esque humor and I'm sure once he finds his groove he will be great.

It was a good segment where Vince didnt say that much, but he got them going with the comments about Steph. And then it made me laugh when they fooled us with Teddy Long appearing.
But theres so much potential here now with Kirk Angel (thats what Y2J used to call him lol) coming back as the GM.

I agree with that. Bit too much smiley cheese. Probably first night back on Raw nerves. I suspect whatever skits he's in tomorrow night will be a better Kurt.

Quote From Jim Ross Website

Kurt Angle as the new, RAW GM is a smart booking. The 2017 HOFER will be a big time 'get' for the RAW brand. I think that it also sets in motion, if desired, for a retirement match with Kurt vs some lucky talent would be a great attraction in NOLA for WM34.

I'd disagree. I don't see Kurt retiring for a few years yet unless his health gets worse.

The big four events for the next two years retiring after comeback match number 8 at Wrestlemania 35 is how i'd do it.

I think theres some classic comedy material there between just him and Enzo alone. I thought the 'soft' comment was funny.

Taz on his show brought up a good point asking do we see enough of Kurt on Raw? I would say probably not.

He doesn't have to polute the show like Stephanie does, but for the man in charge he's rarely in front of the live crowd.

Maybe management are trying to stop regular YOU SUCK chants which anyone who chants it to him are an idiot when he's a babyface and someone they love. Doesn't make sense and isn't funny.

THIS is why people still chant "You suck!" even though he's a babyface, and this is why he's not phased by it.

He makes his return from injury and as a babyface leads them in a "you suck" chant simply because he misses them.

After watching this again, I really hope he embraces the "What!?" chants as well. Those were nearly as much a part of his gimmick as they were Austin's.

Honestly though, I hope he turns heel, and keeps up his babyface personality and just gets pissed at the You Suck and What!? chants and keeps sucking up to the audience in a condescending tone. Kind of like how Bobby Roode is doing in NXT ATM.

Quote WWE Hall of Famer and RAW General Manager Kurt Angle recently did a Q&A session with fans on his Facebook account. Here are the highlights.

On possibly wrestling again in WWE:

“Yes. I don’t know when, but I will wrestle again. It’s true!”

On Roman Reigns:

“Yes, Roman is fine. He has a huge future too. Roman has potential to be “the face” of WWE. Let’s see how he pans out.”

On his favorite part thus far as RAW GM:

“My favorite moment has been getting in the ring with the likes of Seth Rollins and Bray Wyatt. It’s like having a past legend meet a future legend. It hardly ever happens but it did for me.”

Kurt doesn't know when he will wrestle again but most fans know it's going to be Wrestlemania lets be honest and he probably knows that too.

I hope Kurt isn't back on the drugs to think Roman Reigns could be the face of the company.

Good to see him putting over two talented guys who have brilliant futures ahead.

AT LAST something interesting appears to being done with Kurt. No idea what though.

Could well be the start of a big who dunnit storyline that can drag on a while before he has to step foot back in an E ring.
