Quote Kurt Angle vs. Baron Corbin: JBL is on commentary for this one. The opening bell sounds and Kurt immediately takes the fight to Corbin with right hands. Kurt hits a belly to belly suplex, but then Corbin slows Kurt down with a rake to the eyes. Corbin hits an elbow to the face an some right hands. Kurt fights back and puts Corbin in the ankle lock, but Corbin fights out and hits the Deep Six for a two count. Corbin misses a shot in the corner and Kurt hits the Olympic Slam. Kurt applies the ankle lock, but Kurt fights out and drops Kurt in the corner. Corbin does the Cena "you can't see me" taunt to Kurt, and Kurt fires back with an elbow to the face. Kurt hits a series of German suplexes now. Kurt goes up top and goes for the moonsault, but Corbin rolls out of the way. Corbin immediately follows up with the End of Days for the three count.

Winner: Baron Corbin

 - Corbin immediately leaves after the match, and Kurt gets on the mic in the ring. Kurt talks about having the time of his life for the last 20 years, and to end his career he wants to hear those two famous words he's heard throughout his career, and he calls for his music. Kurt celebrates as the crowd chants along with Kurt's music.

I'm still shocked this actually happened as the retirement match for a legend.

It was noticeable how quickly Corbin left after winning instead of milking it like a heel should.

I suspect Kurt saw him as his pet project, Kurt is one of his heros and so beating him on the biggest stage, in his last match all got too much for him and he rushed backstage to shed a tear.

Why is ANYONE shocked by this? This was the most predictable outcome on a card filled with predictable outcomes. Angle can't go anymore. It sucks, but he should NOT have won, and Corbin had been in a feud with him for a year, this was the blowoff, and it just made sense. The legend should put over the new guy, and that's what happened. You simply have no excuse for finding this shocking.

Isnt it tradition that the guy retiring loses his last match?

This outcome was so predictable and im glad Angle didnt kick out of the End of Days.

I still have a feeling they have big plans for Corbin.

Was a sad thing though to see my favourite wrestler of all time retiring but when you look at his career - he has been absolutely fantastic and achieved everything

Corbin is going to get NUCLEAR heat on tonights Raw.

Yeah at this point Corbin might be more hated that Nia Jax.

For all the wrong reasons. He's hated because he's seen as the heel Roman Reigns. Over pushed by management, boring on the mic and limited in ring ability. He's not hated because of his heelish actions.

Quote Baron Corbin comes out to the ring and gets on the mic to talk about his victory over Kurt Angle last night. Corbin talks about how fans said he didn't deserve to be in the ring with Kurt, but he proved that Kurt is the one who doesn't deserve to be in the ring with him. It sounds like the crowd is chanting "shut the f--- up," and Corbin trashes the crowd for being New Yorkers. Corbin says now that he defeated an Olympic Gold Medalist, he should have a medal of his own. Kurt Angle's music hits and Kurt comes out to the ring to interrupt. Kurt steps in the ring and says Corbin won last night and was the better man. Kurt says his career has ended, but Corbin's is just beginning. Kurt shakes Corbins hand but holds on, and adds "bad luck." Kurt gives Corbin the Olympic slam out of nowhere, then puts Corbin in the ankle lock. Kurt finally lets go and Corbin scrambles out to ringside.

That was a good ending to it all. Kurt loses his last match but got to still use his two finishing moves.

Nice to see Kurt get his moment of being heelish in suckering in the heel to trusting him.
