This is the first feud Kofi has had since becoming champion that I've had any real interest in because it has a big fight feel as Orton actually has a real chance of taking the title from Kofi. The previous feuds KK had with Ziggler and Joe just felt like time fillers because most of us knew neither Dolph or Samoa Joe were winning the belt from Kofi, it didn't help that both those feuds had a poor build and neither Joe or Ziggler had any real reason to be challenging for the World title, Joe had just dropped the US title to Ricochet and was then just randomly inserted into a World title programme.

The Orton/Kofi feud has history behind it and I enjoyed the promo work on Smackdown this week. I like that Orton doesnt appear every week which makes him feel more of a big star.

I hope Randy takes the title at Summerslam, at this point in his career I think he can do a better job as champion than Kofi, they gave KK his feel good moment at Wrestlemania and while his reign hasn't been helped by poor challengers I've not warmed to him as a champion he just doesnt have that aura about him to be the top guy on a brand.

You know that the first time I've ever really paid attention to Kofi's alliteration. I guess it's a good thing they didn't call him Kofi Kristofer Kingston or something like that, huh?

Quote Kofi Kingston (c) vs. Randy Orton: Kofi's WWE Championship is on the line in this one. Orton and Kofi trade strikes in the opening moments, and Kofi drops Orton with a springboard flying clothesline. Kofi misses a shot in the corner and Orton shoves Kofi out to ringside. Orton follows up with a back suplex on the announce table. Kofi comes back with a flying clothesline off the ring steps on Orton on the floor. Orton comes back with another back suplex on the announce table, then takes him back in the ring. Kofi starts to fight back and hits a series of clotheslines on Orton Kofi follows up with the Boom Drop on Orton. Kofi looks for the Trouble In Paradise, but Orton blocks it and hits a backbreaker. Orton appears to be bleeding lightly above his eye. Orton looks for the draping DDT on Kofi, but Kofi reverses it and throws Orton out to ringside. Kofi goes to the top rope and hits a dive on Orton on the floor. Back in the ring, Kofi hits a frogsplash off the top on Orton for a two count. Kofi looks for a kick but Orton blocks it and hits a DDT on the Champion. Kofi fights back and looks for a shot off the top rope, but Orton catches Kofi in mid-air with the RKO. Kofi rolls out to ringside and Oton follows. Orton starts staring down some kids at ringside who we are told are Kofi's family. Kofi freaks out and starts pummeling on Orton now and beating Orton down all over ringside.

Winner: Double count out

 - Kofi grabs a kendo stick from under the ring and he tees off on Orton with it. Back in the ring, Kofi continues nailing Orton with the kendo stick until he stops moving. Kofi waits for Orton to get to his feet now, and Kofi nails him with the Trouble In Paradise.

Kofi was booked to look a fool. The babyface main champion of the company shouldn't be booked to lose his rag that easily.

Kofi will have picked to have his family ringside and Randall only has to look at them for him to lose his temper?

The fans got a shit ending for the main title match of a big four.

As I hear it this was the biggest disappointment of the night.

It was a good match but the ending was stupid, Randy didn't even do anything they should have had him do something really heelish like maybe start taunting Kofi's kids about how he's going to hurt their Dad or maybe he could have tried his luck with Kofi's wife, from what I saw all he did was look in the direction of Kofi's family sitting ringside and Kofi lost his cool.
