It would have been great booking, if they really wanted to prolong the Orton/Bryan feud(and that's why we've now had two matches that have ended without a champion) they could have run the King Of The Ring show, have it come down to Orton and Bryan in the final then book the Big Show interference angle leading to the final deciding match at Hell In A Cell between Orton and Bryan, sure it still would have meant a inconclusive finish at King Of The Ring but the excitement and drama of the tournament would have compensated for that, they could have even given Bryan the Bret Hart underdog booking where he wrestles two gruelling matches to get to the final but Orton wrestles one and then gets a bye in the next round due to a double-countout or something.

Meh I'd rather wwe screw the universe again with a non-finish at HIAC so they can bring back the DEADLY GAMES tournament at Survivor Series to crown a champ once and for all

Quote UPDATE: WWE has announced all 16 competitors for the King of the Ring tournament. This will kick off on RAW next week and continue over to SmackDown! Live. The tournament is expected to last several weeks:
* RAW: Baron Corbin, Cesaro, Cedric Alexander, Drew McIntyre, Ricochet, Sami Zayn, Samoa Joe, The Miz
* SmackDown! Live: Ali, Andrade, Apollo Crews, Buddy Murphy, Chad Gable, WWE 24/7 Champion Elias, Kevin Owens, Shelton Benjamin

ORIGINAL: WWE announced on RAW that they will be bringing their King of the Ring tournament back. It will kick off next week.

WWE did a great hype job for the tournament this week showing past clips and really putting over the prestige of it. Apparently the tournament is set to run for the next few weeks on tv with the finals taking place at Clash of Champions.

I like this as I was always a fan of King of the Ring, I like wrestling to appear as real as possible and tournaments make it more of a legit sport and then provides a valid reason for someone to be challenging for a title.

Its smart to run the tournament over Raw and Smackdown too as this may kick ratings up a bit, I also like the idea of the finals takings place at a PPV.

My pick to win is Drew McIntyre, it would be the perfect way to kickstart his push and give him a ton of his lost momentum back and then slide him into the number one contender spot for the World title as his reward for becoming King of the Ring. I hope its Drew and KO in the final as McIntyre beating Owens will avenge the clean loss Drew took to Owens on Smackdown recently.
