Super talented in the ring ? Not by a long shot unless you think a roll up , or a cannonball is talent. He does have that ability to get people not to like him. His mic work is fantastic , he in the ring work is why I don’t care much for him. 3 wrestling moves is about it. I don’t call a cannonball a wrestling move. Last I saw that was in a swimming pool. He doesn’t deserve any titles until he can wrestle better. The mic work is half the battle, the other is actual wrestling.

You really need to watch some of his stuff prior to the last few weeks. Even his stuff on Smackdown was quality ring work. His feud in NXT with Sami and the stuff they did pre WWE.

Do some research instead of making sweeping statements

It’s what I see in front of me now. Not what he did then. What he is doing now is not wrestling talent except his mic work. That’s not a sweeping statement , that’s a fact

We'd see a better Kevin Owens as a babyface. Vince doesn't like his heels to go all out in the ring, as he wants his babyfaces that sell the merchandise to look like the stars.

Quote Bobby Roode vs. Kevin Owens: The opening bell sounds and they immediately go at it. Roode fire up and throws Owens outside. Owens climbs up on the apron, but Roode drops him with a clothesline, and then follows him outside. Owens takes out Roode's leg and then whips him into the fan barricade. Owens follows up with a cannonball splash up against the barricade. Back in the ring, Roode continues the beat-down on Roode. Owens looks for a senton bomb, but Roode rolls out of the way. Roode and Owens trade right hands now until Roode his an elbow to the face. Roode follows up with the Blockbuster off the middle rope for a two count. Roode hits a clothesline in the corner and then looks for a neckbreaker, but Owens escapes. Owens looks for a Samoan drop, but Roode escapes and hits his neckbreaker. They fight up to the top rope and Roode knocks Owens down. Owens rolls out of the ring and Roode follows him then clotheslines him on the ramp. Back in the ring, Roode escapes a Pop-Up Powerbomb, but Owens rolls up Roode out of nowhere and steals the three count.

Winner: Kevin Owens

- Roode can't believe it as Owens celebrates at ringside. Before Owens can get up the ramp, Braun Strowman runs out and chases Owens around the ring. Strowman grabs Owens and drags him in the ring, then hits the running powerslam. Roode cheers on from the corner and calls for Strowman to give another powerslam, and Strowman obiges, then slams Owens down again. Roode celebrates until Strowman grabs him and hits the running powerslam on Bobby too. Strowman stands tall and looks at the briefcases hanging above the ring, then heads to the back.

He's had a good couple of weeks. A few strong wins now against strong calibre opponents.

An heel winning without needing to do an actual move, nevermind a finish is far more heelish.

He remains entertaining in the mid-card. It's a good spot for him for now.

You won’t see the same standard of ring work on the main roster that you see in NXT, it’s very noticeable with guys like Owens and Nakamura.

Reasoning is simple, the main roster road schedule is far more physically taxing and talent need to tone down the ring style to avoid injury and exhaustion. Time constraints play a part as many televised matches are fairly short and also WWE don’t like mid-card matches upstaging the main event.

NXT has more of a indie style where talent can go full throttle in almost every match, the risk of injury is far less due to the much more relaxed travel schedule and Triple H knows his audience there and knows that working a standard WWE style would be quickly rejected by fans.

I'm hoping that this Owens/Stephanie connection will result in Owens vs Triple H at mania and the beginning of Owens' face run as the next Steve Austin.

Once that day comes it will be the beginning of a whole new age.
