So i was browsing and noticed Owens doesn't have his own "On Raw" Thread - theres the Universal Champion one and about 10 regarding feuds he has been involved in but nothing specific to Raw.
Anyways there was a reason i was looking - How good was his performance v Strowman on Raw? Yes he lost, as does everyone who faces Strowman these days (unless your name is Brock Lesnar) but Owens put up a hell of a fight and got the best of it for large portions of that match. I hope with the recent tension between him and Zayn as well as his additional TV time of late, they may start focusing him on singles competition again because he is super talented.

I agree that he and Zayn should not be a tag team, nor should they be tied to the hip. I'd rather just see them much like The Shield has been the last several months. They just have each other's backs and call that good enough. When a storyline makes sense to put them together, then do so otherwise leave it alone.

![]() I'm not even interested in seeing how Kurt gets his own back on him next week, for getting in contact with Stephanie Mcmahon.
I don't think anybody on the roster has dropped like a stone as much as he has over the past two years.

Bray Wyatt. But yeah, it was obvious hed bring that storyline with him from the very minute he walked in he was giving it the "Stephanie picked me" shit He needs to keep doing what hes doing in the ring but change his patter out of it because hes getting boring

Seen a report that despite Kevin Owens recently signing a long term contract extension with WWE he has apparently been told by Vince McMahon that he needs to get in better shape or he will not be pushed above mid-card level, this may explain his current status. Vince McMahon is image obsessed, always has been always will be but on this occasion I think its fair to ask Owens to improve on his physical condition, he should look at Big Show and Bully Ray as inspiration as two guys who had weight issues for years but then put in the work and got into much better shape, Bray Wyatt is also a bit more trim looking these days, both Ray and Show were older than Owens too. Its clear that Owens will never look like Dolph Ziggler or Seth Rollins and noone should expect him to but its not unreasonable to expect him to look like a wrestler, I'm pretty sure with a bit more time and effort in the gym and with his diet he could improve his conditioning.

That report is as false as the other 50 times a week that you hear it. Owens was pushed heavily for the past two years against Jericho, Rollins, Reigns, a long run as Universal champion, US champion, matches against AJ Styles, Hell in a Cell against Shane and being a real focus of Smackdown for the latter part of last season.
Now he's given back people are back to blaming Vince McMahon. Fans need to stop focussing on Owens' weight. Vince wouldn't let someone beat him up and make him bleed if he wasn't high on the guy.

Would be great to be as hated as Kevin Owens, who continues to be prominent such as getting in the MITB match
![]()
If it had continued one on one Owens would have jobbed, but it would have been better than a tag match.

I was skimming through this match on Hulu. I saw Jinder attack so I stopped skimming to watch the finish, and ended up watching all of the resulting tag match.
I am still very much looking forward to the return of Dean Ambrose, and I really hope that The Shield really do something good together soon. It really seemed like Owens was inconsequential to that whole segment. It was like it was a well disguised attempt at fitting Owens into the show somewhere and nothing more. Same with Rollins I guess, except for my own desire to see The Shield get back together made his inclusion more important in my mind than it probably really was.

I've said it before and will say it again, the best thing about Kevin's wrestling ability is his mouth.

Kevin was gold on commentary this week.
He is absolutely perfect at getting people to dislike him because of the thing he says but in such a way that everyone remains interested in what he is actually saying - as opposed to fast forwarding through his segments. I do also think he is super talented in the ring but alot of his in ring stuff is the smack talking to go along with a varied moveset. He can take a bump too so looking forward to seeing him getting powerslammed through a ladder by Strowman
