So i was browsing and noticed Owens doesn't have his own "On Raw" Thread - theres the Universal Champion one and about 10 regarding feuds he has been involved in but nothing specific to Raw.

Anyways there was a reason i was looking - How good was his performance v Strowman on Raw?

Yes he lost, as does everyone who faces Strowman these days (unless your name is Brock Lesnar) but Owens put up a hell of a fight and got the best of it for large portions of that match.

I hope with the recent tension between him and Zayn as well as his additional TV time of late, they may start focusing him on singles competition again because he is super talented.

I agree that he and Zayn should not be a tag team, nor should they be tied to the hip. I'd rather just see them much like The Shield has been the last several months. They just have each other's backs and call that good enough. When a storyline makes sense to put them together, then do so otherwise leave it alone.

Quote Backstage, Owens complained to Angle and said that he deserves a rematch against Rollins. Owens threatened to call Stephanie McMahon. Angle said he was tired of Owens threatening him. Owens said it wasn’t a threat and pulled out his phone. Angle entered a room where Mahal was being treated by trainers. Mahal complained about Reigns attacking him. Angle said he gave Reigns the rest of the night off, but added that the qualifier must happen on this show. Mahal protested while wincing in pain…

Bobby Lashley and Elias were shown walking backstage while Cole said we’d find out who their opponent is after the break… [C]

8. Kevin Owens vs. Bobby Lashley vs. Elias in a Money in the Bank qualifying match. Cole said Stephanie was sticking it to Angle by giving Owens another shot even though he lost a qualifying match last week and an Intercontinental Championship match this week. Lashley cleared the ring and received some boos heading into an early break. [C]

[Overrun] There was a “Bobby’s Sisters” chant as he was working over Owens. Elias cleared the ring and asked for a mic, which drew a big pop from the fans. Elias grabbed his guitar and sat on the apron and told JoJo to hold the mic while he sang. The fans cheered, but Owens broke it up before he could sing.

At 10:20, Lashley set up Elias for his vertical suplex, but Owens broke it up. Lashley suplexed both men and the fans booed. Lashley performed running shoulder blocks on both men in opposite corners until Owens lifted a boot.

Later, Lashley hit the Dominator on Elias, but Sami Zayn came out and pulled him from the ring and ran him into the post. Zayn hit Lashley with a Helluva Kick. Owens hit a top rope frogsplash on Elias and pinned him to win the match…

Kevin Owens defeated Bobby Lashley and Elias in 13:00 to qualify for the Money in the Bank match.

Oh dear his boring Smackdown management storyline has been brought over to Raw Sleepy

I'm not even interested in seeing how Kurt gets his own back on him next week, for getting in contact with Stephanie Mcmahon.

I don't think anybody on the roster has dropped like a stone as much as he has over the past two years.

He needs to keep doing what hes doing in the ring but change his patter out of it because hes getting boring

Seen a report that despite Kevin Owens recently signing a long term contract extension with WWE he has apparently been told by Vince McMahon that he needs to get in better shape or he will not be pushed above mid-card level, this may explain his current status.

Vince McMahon is image obsessed, always has been always will be but on this occasion I think its fair to ask Owens to improve on his physical condition, he should look at Big Show and Bully Ray as inspiration as two guys who had weight issues for years but then put in the work and got into much better shape, Bray Wyatt is also a bit more trim looking these days, both Ray and Show were older than Owens too.

Its clear that Owens will never look like Dolph Ziggler or Seth Rollins and noone should expect him to but its not unreasonable to expect him to look like a wrestler, I'm pretty sure with a bit more time and effort in the gym and with his diet he could improve his conditioning.

That report is as false as the other 50 times a week that you hear it. Owens was pushed heavily for the past two years against Jericho, Rollins, Reigns, a long run as Universal champion, US champion, matches against AJ Styles, Hell in a Cell against Shane and being a real focus of Smackdown for the latter part of last season.

Now he's given back people are back to blaming Vince McMahon. Fans need to stop focussing on Owens' weight. Vince wouldn't let someone beat him up and make him bleed if he wasn't high on the guy.

Would be great to be as hated as Kevin Owens, who continues to be prominent such as getting in the MITB match LOL

Quote Kevin Owens vs. Roman Reigns: Owens starts off strong, but Reigns levels him with an uppercut and takes control. Reigns throws Owens to the outside and follows him out. Reigns throws a chop but Reigns no-sells it and drops Owens with a right hand on the floor. Reigns takes Owens back in the ring, but Owens goes right back outside for another breather. Reigns follows him out again and misses the Drive-By, and Owens capitalizes and takes Reigns back in the ring. Reigns fires up and hits some clotheslines in the corner. Owens fights back and charges, but Reigns hits a Superman punch out of nowhere. The fight spills outside again and then Jinder Mahal runs in out of nowhere. The ref calls for the DQ, and Seth Rollins runs in for the save.

Winner: No Contest

- This one gets turned into a tag match during the commercial break.

It's a shame what was a decent contest ended up being stopped before it got going.

If it had continued one on one Owens would have jobbed, but it would have been better than a tag match.

I was skimming through this match on Hulu. I saw Jinder attack so I stopped skimming to watch the finish, and ended up watching all of the resulting tag match.

I am still very much looking forward to the return of Dean Ambrose, and I really hope that The Shield really do something good together soon.

It really seemed like Owens was inconsequential to that whole segment. It was like it was a well disguised attempt at fitting Owens into the show somewhere and nothing more. Same with Rollins I guess, except for my own desire to see The Shield get back together made his inclusion more important in my mind than it probably really was.

I've said it before and will say it again, the best thing about Kevin's wrestling ability is his mouth.

Kevin was gold on commentary this week.

He is absolutely perfect at getting people to dislike him because of the thing he says but in such a way that everyone remains interested in what he is actually saying - as opposed to fast forwarding through his segments.

I do also think he is super talented in the ring but alot of his in ring stuff is the smack talking to go along with a varied moveset.

He can take a bump too so looking forward to seeing him getting powerslammed through a ladder by Strowman
