Kevin Owens has signed a main roster contract with the WWE. He has also been informed that he will be making the transition from the NXT brand to the main roster quickly. He is booked for all RAWs going forward and will be scheduled for the main roster house shows soon.

The plan is for him to remain an NXT character for the next couple of months since he is the champion so that they can book a smooth exit for the character.

This has to be the fastest NXT to main roster transition yet, don't think hes worked more than about half a dozen televised matches in NXT.
Its great for Owens who will be earning main roster money now but I do wonder if he will be used as well as he has been so far down in NXT, just hope he wont come out of his feud with Cena on the losing end and then plummet down the card.

Trouble is there seems to be a bit of a track record of top NXT guys moving to the main roster and failing, look at Big E, Bo Dallas and the Ascension, the jury is still out on Neville but so far hes not had close to the success he had in NXT.

Shame that Owens will be exiting NXT though as I'd looked forward to more matches between him and Zayn as well as Joe of course and later on Uhaa Nation.

I'm not really worried about either Kevin Owens or Neville because Triple H will be looking out for them with WWE Creative and make sure they look strong on TV. As for Owens himself, I think he'll be just fine. He looked like a million bucks in the last 2 weeks against John Cena and that's all we could ever ask for. He looks like a legit threat to beat John Cena and if Cena wins on Sunday, I don't expect him to do it clean.

Interesting tidbit to be added; originally, it wasn't Kevin Owens who was supposed to get to the main roster. Sami Zayn was supposed to get the official call-up but because of his shoulder surgery, it didn't happen. Zayn's injury added to Rusev's injury on Smackdown forced WWE's hand to bring Owens up sooner. Not that Owens wasn't already ready anyway but indeed, I don't recall an NXT Superstar going that fast to the main roster since NXT's inception.

Yeah I read that report, has to be gutting for Zayn who has been down in NXT way longer than Owens, but you can understand WWE's concerns because if Zayn can't stay healthy while working a NXT schedule he has no chance on the main roster being on the road full-time.

I hold out hope that WWE will be smart with the booking of Owens because of the amount of merchandise he's currently moving if nothing else, hopefully they will continue to book him as a Lesnar type destroyer on the main roster.
As for Neville I wonder if a heel turn might be smart for him, give him a mouth-piece to carry his promos, someone like Heyman perhaps.

Quote It appears Kevin Nash had NXT Champion Kevin Owens blocked on Twitter until late last night, possibly due to a quad joke that Owens made a while back. Nash asked fans about Owens after last night’s RAW and Owens said he would have replied but Nash had him blocked. Nash later unblocked Owens it looks like.

Should always watch what you say because you never know when one day in the future if what you've said previously will bite you in the arse.

He's been unblocked now and the tweets between them are friendly. I think Owens doesn't want to rock his push by staying on bad terms with Hs best mate.

Nash shouldn't be so delicate about a quad joke when you consider the things he's done over the years.

Or maybe Nash fat fingered something and in his old age and drug addled state didn't realise what he'd done.

Plenty of reasonable explanations yet unexplored aside from "heat".

All I have to say is Kevin Owens is absolute gold at the broadcasting booth when he joins the team and adds commentary. His interactions with Bryon Saxton and Micheal Cole were hilarious tonight "He keeps talking," lol. I haven't seen someone at the broadcasting booth this entertaining since CM Punk sat at the booth during his injury. It goes to my point I've made for 25 years that wrestlers make the best broadcasters, usually for their knowledge of holds but this time due to their personality.

Quote It was reported last week that Kevin Owens left the WWE South American Tour early due to "personal reasons."

While it is still unclear exactly what those reasons were, Owens' wife took to social media to comment on him leaving the tour early to be with his family.

"Thank you all for the kind messages asking if everything was alright," wrote Owens' wife via her official Instagram page. "It was one of the toughest weeks of our lives but we are ok now. This guy traveled half way around the world to get back to us and I don't know what I would have done without him. Best husband and dad we could ever ask for."

As previously reported, Owens too addressed the situation with him leaving the tour early, by tweeting: "I’m not sick. I’m not hurt. My family needed me home. Thank you to WWE and the fans in Argentina and Chile for their support and understanding."

They should have lied and said it was a injury to avoid so much speculation.

It's still getting brought up, so fans are going to carry on second guessing what it might have been.

His wife makes it sound like a death or serious health problem of someone on her side of the family (parent or sibling if she's got any) and so if that is the case of course nobody could have a go at Kevin for getting back to be the supportive husband.

Well whatever it was - it hasnt been serious enough to keep him off TV which is great news for Smackdown because this weeks show was truly one of the worst i have ever seen

His presence in the main event made it ten times more enjoyable than it was beforehand

Hopefully whatever it was is sorted now

It's good he's not been kept off TV and is still on the European Tour that starts next week.

As previously reported here on eWrestlingNews.com, Triple H returned to the ring at WWE’s live event in Santiago, Chile, replacing Kevin Owens at the show. Owens was sent home from the tour early due to some “personal issues” (family). The promoter of the event wasn’t happy that Owens had been pulled from the show, which led to Triple H stepping up to the plate.

According to sources, Triple H reportedly gave Kevin Owens his pay for the Santiago, Chile live event.

What a good boss he's got. Sent home and still gets paid for the event he ended up missing.

Shows how highly he's thought of as one of the top talents they have.
