Kevin Owens vs Goldberg...going with Goldberg to win the Universal Title to add another log to the Lesnar vs Goldberg fire for Wrestlemania. ( I could see Jericho and/or Lesnar getting involved here to further the storyline.)

Most people went with the predictable win as Vince thinks putting the title on an old guy who won't take bumps is what's best for business.

When the PPV time was running out on the WWE Network I knew what was coming and Vince will know from article comments on E's Facebook account how disgusted so many are.

He managed to make the heel come across as a face out of sympathy for a 22 second job.

The crowd were pissed that's for sure. Maybe Vince booked it this way to make Goldberg the Heel or t switch KO face, unlikely I know especially with the Jericho appearance but it's the only reason I can think for why it was a shite squash job. If Oldberg won't take the bumps why the fuck put the strap on him?

If Vince legit thought the fans would get behind Goldberg in a squash match against a heel who get's face reactions everytime he comes out then Vince needs to be sectioned under the mental health act

People surely had to have seen this coming. Goldberg wasn't going to work a full match against KO. This is ALL about Goldberg Lesnar. There was a glimmer of hope that Jericho would attack KO after the bell rang, and Goldberg would lose via DQ, and then Lesnar might show up and attack Goldberg, but even so the obvious route was Goldberg squash.

Now, WrestleMania's match is etched in stone. Goldberg isn't walking out of Mania with the title, he's from WCW. Lesnar wins in decisive fashion to end Goldberg's career because "f**k WCW" the match will bore beyond belief, and any interest in Goldberg will be gone after he loses to Lesnar.

Horrible just horrible, like Admin said with the time running out on the PPV and then Owens using stalling tactics it was obvious this was going to be a complete squash. This is unacceptable for a PPV main event title match and it's no surprise many fans booed, I expect Goldberg to get a mixed reaction at best on Raw, so many fans will not accept this lazy booking which is now clearly being done to cover for Goldbergs lack of stamina and any kind of ability to do more than a couple of basic spots.

I understand Goldberg wanted his kid to see him wrestle, I understand WWE wanted to milk the nostalgia, but why did they need to put the belt on him if all he is capable of is a spear and a jackhammer? Surely he could have just squashed a few expendable mid-carders then done the quick Lesnar match then gone home?

Goldberg winning the Universal Title over Kevin Owens to set up Lesnar vs Goldberg at Wrestlemania with the title at stake wasn't a shocker, obviously, but it seems to make sense as it relates to adding more sizzle to this attraction for WM/Orlando.

He's going to get bashed on his Twitter feed for being a company guy still and ignoring the shit storm. What i'd like to know is........

1) Is Hs going to berate Owens like he did Seth Rollins when he lost the title after having everything handed to him on a plate by the Authority?

2) How thick and stupid is Owens going to look when he doesn't use his rematch clause for the biggest event of the year like anyone else would?

Read a report saying that Goldberg's matches are so short for two reasons, the first and this is the reasoning WWE will use on TV is that it's his character, he smashes his opponents in record time with his intense offence.

The main reason though is after what happened to The Rock and Sting they are terrified of Goldberg getting injured. Everything is designed to build to the match with Lesnar at Wrestlemania and apparently that match is planned to be a longer match where Goldberg will bump, so everything to that point has been booked to protect Goldberg.

So it's not a lack of ability or willingness on Goldberg's part it's simply WWE terrified that yet another top attraction match will get canned due to injury.

So why I can understand this logic with all this in mind they should have kept Goldberg away from the World title. He could have faced Brock at Mania without it and then they wouldn't have had to book such a weak title match at Fastlane which completely short changed the fans and probably harmed Goldberg by alienating fans who will have become frustrated with these booking shortcuts every time he gets physical.
