So far I'm not seeing what all the fuss is about.

Yet another small Japanese guy with no real grasp of the English language who seems pretty solid in the ring but has yet to dazzle me with anything he does, you can tell his style is very Japan influenced and he will need to adapt that to WWE which as we've seen in the past doesn't always work.

His reputation obviously proceeds him which has led to him getting some decent reactions but I wonder if that will be the same on the main roster, I can see his promos getting ''What!?'' chants. He may need to turn heel perhaps and have someone cut his promos for him.

Wouldn't surprise me to see him go the same way as Yoshi Tatsu and other failed Japanese wrestlers in WWE.

We need a Mr. Fuji kind of character. Ie the antithesis of Zeb Coulter. Except, unlike Fuji, it would be good if he spoke English. Actually Kenta would be a good wrestler for Vickie to manage if she were still around. She could manage a stable of heels from both Japan and Mexico in a storyline about how wwe always treats Luchadores and Japanese Strong Style wrestlers like second class citizens. Or maybe they could be face, and call Steph and Trips racists to play off ADR's firing.

Kenta has looked good imo, he just needs a mouthpiece, obviously.

Zeb Colter would actually be a excellent mouth-piece for Itami, not quite sure how they would make it work with the whole anti-immigration thing Colter has going on but I could imagine Zeb doing a excellent job of handling the verbals for Itami.

Failing that maybe Paul Heyman? Although it really would be better suited to someone more in the Mr Fuji or Vickie Guerrero mold.

I'm looking forward to their partnership breaking up and seeing them work as singles competitors. They really did not mesh well IMO at REvolution, and their while their match was VERY good, most of that lays with how effectively The Ascension fed them.

Itami DOES, like JTB has been saying, need to wash the indy off him, or at least start applying some fucking holds and do more than punch and kick. I know Vince likes to call this Sports Entertainment, but the fans know that this is WRESTLING, and in order to get over with the fans, you have to be able to WRESTLE. At this point I couldn't give two shits about the fact that he can't cut a promo, first he needs to show he's a good wrestler.

Balor looks pretty good. He's only wrestled a few matches in NXT at this point but he definitely looks like a new top contender for the NXT title in the near future.

I'm still holding back judgment on his entrances. At this point I could only say they're interesting. I think they've got some potential, but if he keeps crawling to the ring, I'm gonna tune out real fast.

KENTA is still firmly rooted in his japanese style of "punch/kick to high spot to punch/kick to high spot" - there´s not that much wrestling in between the high spots there. But I know he can do it, I hope that creative too does not get stuck on the "asian guy has to be martial arts-y" thing they usually do (Kung-Fu-naki anyone?)

AS for Balor, I have to say I never saw him in the indys. I know i probably missed out on a lot, but there it is. His entrance, he can keep crawling for all i care, just speed up the whole thing a bit. Don´t crawl around on stage for 3 minutes before even getting to the ramp down to the ring. That´s what would make me tune out.

The thing I suppose Itami has going for him is that there are a lot of people that complain about Randy Orton and his "rest holds" and ought to be catered to by guys like Itami as he is very much opposite of Orton.

Hideo made it three injuries for NXT. He's going to be out for 6-8 months. So along with Zayn & Riley, NXT is looking a bit thin on the ground going forward.

Has anyone heard or read any news about Hideo's injury lately?

Not a scrap on any of the dirtsheets I read (same with the Uso fella). I assume it is going well recovery wise.
