https://www.cagesideseats.com/2018/1/11/16879544/kenny-omega-signs-new-contract-with-njpw-into-2019

I know there were some people speculating on whether or not Jericho was going to New Japan to recruit people to WWE, in particular Kenny Omega the current leader of the Bullet Club and one half of the 3 highest rated matches in pro-wrestling history, another man from Calgary Winnipeg (you idiot) just like Jericho.

However Dave Meltzer is now reporting that Omega has signed a new contract extending until the end of January of 2019. So no Royal Rumble debut this year, or even next.

Meanwhile he's still taking shots at guys like Roman Reigns as well as at the WWE as a whole.

TBH I don't think it'll take very much longer before he becomes the new Sting in the minds of fans worldwide as the greatest English-speaking performer to never have (yet) worked for the WWE.

The way I see it Kenny doesn't need the WWE and the WWE don't need him, Kenny is a phenomenal athlete truly one of the greatest in ring performers to this day, and I would love to see him in a WWE ring with AJ Styles, John Cena, Finn Balor and many more superstars.

I feel like once his contract with NJPW is finished we will see Kenny Omega in the WWE, why do I think that because right now its expected when his contract is finished in 2019 its just in time for the Royal Rumble and also people won't be expecting it.

They specifically make note of the fact that it will be too late to be in the 2019 Royal Rumble.

Looks like Kenny Omega is taking a different turn now. I guess this also means that Cody is now the official leader of the Bullet Club, too.

Thats probably a sign Omega is coming to WWE

There was always a rumour and then when Jericho went across to fight him, alot of places were reporting that part of the deal for him to do that was for Omega to come to WWE and continue the feud

Maybe too early to say but its the perfect time given its Rumble time tonight

He signed a contract through the start of February of 2019 with NJPW.

Doesn't necessarily mean anything because im sure if he wanted to go to WWE there would be ways around it, however like i said its probably too soon at the minute.

Do you think he could make a surprise appearance as a one off or do you think that his contract would prevent him doing so

I know Y2J was technically not employed by WWE at the time but the rumours were pretty strong at the time about Omega finishing the feud in a WWE ring in some shape or form.

Not necessarily, no. You're right, but I just don't see it happening. Not that that means anything either. He could show up and I'll eat crow and I'll be fine with it, but I just don't see him showing up in the WWE until mid-2019 if not 2020.

Jericho got permission from Vince to work NJPW for a few matches. I can't see NJPW letting their best foreign star to appear for WWE, even if it's just a one off thing.

I've not doubt Omega will head up back in WWE come 2020 but for now he isn't finished in Japan.
