There was a *Kendo Nagasaki" who was Japanese & also worked in the States & Puerto Rico, But he was an imposter. There was only ever one Kendo Nagasaki.

2 Kendo's?  That's almost as ridiculous as there being 3 different Ultimate Warrior's. Actually there's a litte more to the story of multiple Warriors. Wink

There was only ever one Kendo Nagasaki! All the others were imposters.

If there were two people named "Kendo Nagasaki" and they were billed as such, then no matter whether one was an imposteror not there is still more than one "Kendo Nagasaki". I mean, look at all the "Doinks" there have been. Just because they all aren't "Matt Bourne" doesn't mean there still hasn't been more than one Doink.

I think you are trying to say that your promotion is using THE Kendo Nagasaki. Done. I fully bet you're using "Kendo Nagasaki #2" though.

Kendo #3 was the best.

I mean it really is like saying that there was only one Tiger Mask, and that the rest were imposters.

" I fully bet you're using "Kendo Nagasaki #2" though." How much would you like to bet?

The reason there has only ever been one Kendo Nagasaki is that he is the only wrestler in the UK to actually copyright his image.  Thus making any future reincarnations illegal.

The various current and past incarnations are legal though, so there were what 3 or 4 people to have worked as Kendo Nagasaki?

Cool story, bro. Too bad no one will be there to watch "Kendo Nagasaki 6.35", wherever it is. Now go away.

I wonder if these guys ever figured out if they had the "original" Kendo. I don't know much about British wrestling (aside from watching a couple Big Daddy videos on YouTube.) And after looking around online, the only thing I'm confident in saying about Kendo Nagasaki is that there was more than just 1.

I guess this is the original Kendo.

A white British guy that wore a mask, pretended to be Japanese and wore funky contact lenses.  But of course being masked made it really easy for other Kendo's to pop up. So the original sued a couple of them. But they just altered the name a bit (ie King Kendo) and kept the mask.

Where it gets really weird is that the US-version was really Japanese and he too had been Stampede North American Heavyweight Champion. Instead of being masked, he wore face paint and used the Asian Mist bit. He worked southern NWA promotions and teamed with Great Muta (as either the White Ninja or Black Ninja.)

He had a decent heel run. And had his share of regional championships. So he was no slouch.

Later he worked in NWA-WCW as the Dragon Master and served as Great Muta's manager. After wards, he returned to using the Kendo Nagasaki name and returned to Japan. So in Japan, this is the version that fans know.

So I guess it largely depends upon where in the world you are as to who is Kendo Nagasaki.
