WWE bills Big E as 5'11" but that's still being generous.

We also don't know what sort of promises were implied when WWE signed him. It's emotionally draining to go from headlining shows (even small shows) to being lost in the shuffle of the farm system. Plenty of other indy guys droped out of the developmental program because they ran out of patience. Imagine what it must be like to be a guy with years of experience, now having to work with guys that 2 weeks ago were gridiron bench-warmers.

Honestly I'm surprised that he didn't quit after being stuck in FCW/NXT for over a year.

That won't happen ever. Not unless Sinclair Broadcasting buys TNA (which would be a death sentence for TNA.) The TV contracts would be a mess and never would allow that.

Remember Jeff Jarret won the AAA World Heavyweight Championship. But due to some old standing marketing contract, TNA couldn't call it the AAA title, so they called the Mexican National title or something.

Have you ever seen a stand-up comedian that was great in the club but then sucked on TV? Or maybe was great on TV but sucked in movies? (The answer to the second question is Dana Carvey.) Those are different formats and what works for one doesn't necessarily work for the others. The same holds true with wrestling. WWE is a different format than any other promotion. From the WWE's POV, they are movies and the indies are clubs.

The truth is that most performers don't have the skills needed to transition across the different formats. That doesn't mean that indy wrestlers are less talented, they are just differently talented. Hell, Dave Batista was a big time champ in WWE but he would tank in ROH; that's because Batista doesn't have the qualities that work in ROH, but it doesn't mean he's talentless.

Personally, I think it would be cool to see Chris Hero show up in TNA. Especially if he were to team up with a guy like Kenny King. I think there's a place in for Hero in TNA. That's not to say I think he should be WHC, but there's plenty of other ways he could be an instant asset to TNA.

Saying that Hero showed no passion in NXT because he had done much better things previously is just dumb, NXT is the developmental ground of WWE who are the biggest wrestling promotion in the world, anything Hero had done before that is minor league by comparison, NXT is a stepping stone to the full WWE roster so it was his shot at the big time, so if he showed no fire or enthusiasm then hes a idiot and deserved to be released.

TNA are apparently scouting for new talent now and I think Hero would be a great addition to their ranks and possibly a better fit than he was in WWE.

Quote WWE announced the following on Kassius Ohno’s return to the company:

Kassius Ohno makes a huge return to WWE NXT
ORLANDO, Fla. — As first reported on Twitter, Kassius Ohno stepped between the yellow ropes for the first time in more than three years to confront NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura.
At the conclusion of the night’s event, Nakamura was celebrating with the NXT Universe when Ohno’s music suddenly blared through the arena. The returning Superstar — widely considered to be one of the world’s top competitors — wasted no time making his intentions clear, as he approached Nakamura, slapped the champion’s title while it rested on his shoulder and then took his leave as quickly as he had emerged.
Whatever happens as a result of Kassius Ohno’s huge return, this is certain — the landscape of NXT just changed in a big way.

Weird that he's been brought back when his physique that was such a problem, doesn't look to be much better.

He's three years older now so lucky to have a second chance.

Some of his old indy mates must have put in a good word for him.

I think he's in as more as a player/coach role too. Annoying thing is if they set this up, they've just spoilt the finish to Roode/Nakamura.

Maybe it means Roode will go to the main roster sooner rather than later? I would love to see Phenomenal and Glorious as a team on smackdown.

Wouldn't surprise me if they are fast-tracking Roode to the main roster and Hero is coming in to fill the NXT void, Roode is so over and is superb in his glorious gimmick, he could easily be a top heel on Raw or Smackdown.

Glad to see Chris Hero back, never got to see even close to his full potential during his first stint. Hopefully he's got the issues that ruined his first run in check this time around.

Depends if he's willing to pull his finger out and do what WWE want rather than what he wants I guess. A solid worker in ready for when NXT is raided post WM so it does make sense. Who'll be next through the door, Kyle O'Reilly, Adam Cole and Kenny Omega?

he was interviewed recently about being approached by WWE, and said he was in ROH because that was where he wanted to be.

take from that what you will.

am surprised he's been brought back, but then he didn't bad mouth the company despite the reason he was released.

I hope he makes the most of his second chance and realises he's lucky to have it.

I'm surprised he's got it because his physique doesn't look any better than when he was last in NXT.

I'm glad he's using his old E name and not being given something totally new for his second chance.
