Always been a fan of his work and love his gobby little shit heel act LOL

I'd normally hate a commentator having their own agenda and spoiling a main event by not giving it enough attention. However his loud rants were great.

From what I can see he doesn't struggle to get heel heat and he sold the Borash punch very well.

He made me want to punch him in the face so he's doing his job perfectly, what more could you want from a twuntish heel commentator?

That's it he's a brilliant heel because the job of an heel is to get booed, not cheered and for people to want you beat up and so he's perfect.

Loved on commentary him taking the piss out of the fans being basically the same faces all the time.

I suppose it's all leading to him getting back in the ring for a one off match.

We all know it's leading to Josh vs JB at Slammiervsary so for a one off it can be the piss break haha. Him coming out with his lawyers to get JB 'suspended' and then harping on about JB missing his first ever Impact show was brilliant.

Since the reboot last week, the whole angle should have been killed when he was fired 2 weeks ago. The creative writing team probably don't have much to go on since Jarrett started directing the show last week. They should've rebooted Matthews since we are now in week two of the new Anthem owned Impact with their team in place and TNA and Dixie Carter's regime finally phased out.

I decided to watch this on Ch5 a week ago, the main event was some bloke called James Storm losing to the terribly boring former WWF flop Bobby Lashley. But in that episode Jeremy Borash twatted Josh Matthews and it got a huge pop from the fans when he did it.
As for the whole show, I cant say that I was impressed with the 'new' TNA at all but it might be worth watching again at least for a few more episodes.

Quote For those fans who wanted to see Impact Wrestling feature new commentators, you may just get it.

Dave Meltzer reported in the latest issue of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that after the latest TV tapings, Josh Mathews will be used as Matt Sydal’s manager to help get him over.

Mathews appears to be off the announcing team going forward. It should be noted that the announcing team for the next set of tapings hasn’t been decided upon.

Great news. He's a very good commentator, but still wasted behind the desk.

He showed as heel in his fued with Borash how good he is in the role and so i'm all for him being back the other side of the announce desk.

Sydal should get much more over and stand out more through association.
