Very sad. You typically picture people in their 70s, 80s, and 90s dying under more natural circumstances beyond their control like disease, organ failure, natural causes, old age, etc.

Getting hit by a truck is a horrible way to go. RIP

Report says there no witnesses, guess we have to wait to find how fast the driver was going since he crossed a road that had no cross walk, but damn, what a way to go.

Actually it's not that uncommon for old people to get confused and do something that gets them hit by traffic.

No less of a horrible way to go, but surprisingly not that uncommon.

Thoughts with the lorry driver who's zero to blame, but now will have on his poor mind the rest of his life that he's responsible for someone's death.

Hopefully he's not too hard on himself, but even though it's not the slightest bit at fault, he will struggle to sleep and probably now needs counselling.

I know he was just an idiot and wasn't trying to kill himself. But it reminds me of Clarke Carlisle when he tried to kill himself in front of a lorry, survived and the truck driver eventually killed himself as he couldn't forget that incident.
