Johnny Gargano seems to becoming the Daniel Bryan of NXT.

He’s the ultimate underdog but really really good in the ring and on the mic.

The crowd are behind him and he’s been involved in some excellent storylines, 1 being the persuit of the title against Almas and his broken friendship with Ciampa.

I’m wondering how they will handle his transition to the main roster when it finally happens

Loved the segment with Ciampa at the start of this weeks NXT

The main roster should take note because the angle was made far more believable due to how fast the security guards showed up and how aggressive they were

It was a great segment

It was a killer angle, NXT just has a more gritty and realistic feel to it which I love.

This has to be building to a one on one match between Ciampa and Johnny G at Takeover which should be a superb match in addition to a already very strong card.

Ciampa worked the crowd to perfection here, top heel work.

For me NXT is head and shoulders above the other 2 brands ...miles and miles above

Even the Takeover events FEEL like proper PPV events because of the crowds, the frequency between them (its not a cluster of events or matches for matches sake) and the match quality.

Gargano v Ciampa would be a tremendous addition to the card as long as we get a No DQ or some other stipulation.

I'd even take a "If Gargano wins he gets reinstated" stip as long as he was to lose and really build on that ultimate underdog / sympathetic thing he has going on

Glad you are enjoying NXT too - its good to have someone else to talk to about it because the thread isnt too acitve

I drop in and out with NXT depending on who is on the roster at the time but currently they have one of the strongest rosters they’ve had in terms of depth and the last Takeover was possibly the best ever. NXT is the only weekly WWE show I usually watch in its entirety(admittedly the fact it’s only a hour and it’s on the Network play a part in that).

I love the gritty and more realistic style and the atmosphere. It comes across as a genuine competitive sport rather than the more cartoony feel of the main roster.

I agree NXT is easily the best brand right now and with the additions of ECIII, Ricochet and War Machine still to come things can only get better still.

From what ive seen in the recent episodes of NXT and also what i have read in spoilers - the feud with Ciampa is still well and truly on.

Ciampa is the best heel in wrestling right now and their previous effort on Mania weekend was one of the best matches ive ever seen so if they get to go at it again in a final encounter at the next takeover (which hasnt been announced, implied or anything else so no spoiler) then im not sure how they top their previous effort.

This has got to have been the best feud in wrestling this year and WWE only wish Lesnar v Reigns was anywhere near that level

This is a sure fire winner for feud of the year, the match quality, the realism, how personal it’s become and of course the fantastic heel work of Ciampa, I would say it’s a good shout for feud of the decade.

So one win each in the series which obviously sets the rubber match, this feud now really needs the NXT title to put more at stake and the final match has to be a gimmick match of some sort. It’s hard to know how they could work the title into the feud in time for the Summerslam Takeover, perhaps Ciampa could win it from Aliester Black then Gargano can challenge him?

I dont think the rubber match needs to happen so soon.

Theres no harm in moving Ciampa into the title picture over the next few weeks/months and having him finally beat Black for Gargano to return later in the year.

This feud is RED HOT and even a few weeks/months apart (albeit keep up the goading/gloating and maybe the odd attack or match interference here and there) wont do their 3rd match any harm

Easily the best feud in Wrestling ive seen in the last 10 years EASY
