Quote From Jim Ross Website

I enjoyed the Cena-Reigns dynamic throughout the broadcast as both men walked a fine line but one can easily see that a personal issue could develop between the two quite easily although I somewhat doubt that it would be a long term one considering that WWE needs both men to be fan favorites. Nonetheless they have noticeable chemistry together which interests me.

It's been a good couple of weeks of talking between them, thus sewing the seeds to a future one on one match at some point, probably way down the line.

Both guys have been quite heelish in the delivery of their words. I've liked that and it's alot better than cheesy shit.

Obviously Cena turning heel for it won't happen sadly.

I think it would actually be a good face vs face match, both men are top babyfaces but are very different with Cena being the family friendly hero and Reigns much darker and edgy. Reminds me of the Cena vs Rock feud which was also face vs face but the different styles of the characters allowed it to work extremely well.

They're teasing it now but would be smart to hold off for a good while yet to allow Roman Reigns to continue to develop as a main-eventer.

I agree. It's far too early for a solo novice like Reigns to be given a proper fued of one on one matches with a future hall of famer.

Sensible booking for me would be to book the fatal fourway in such a way that the two of them don't have any physical contact at all.

Fans want to see them beat the hell out of eachother so hold it off for a better payday down the line.

For me this is currently one of the best things about Raw and the whole WWE at present.

The very real and personal back and forth insults have made for some excellent promo work, plus it's good they haven't had any physicality yet which builds the anticipation to the match and gives it more of a big fight feel.

One thing has become clear and that is that Roman isn't as accomplished on the mic as Cena but then that's no real insult as Cena is one of the best talkers in the business and to be fair Reigns has held his own out there apart from his small hiccup a couple of weeks back where he forgot a line.

It's clear this is all part of trying to establish Roman as the new top guy, either way I'm looking forward to more promos and the match at No Mercy.

Match of the night. Very glad that it lived up to the hype built up with weeks of killer promos.

It went a good length of time and was hard hitting and John did his best to try and pass the torch, in what was his biggest babyface reaction in a very long time, helped by how hated his opponent is LOL

Good touch by Cena to raise the hand of Reigns to show respect for the better man winning.

It was a very clear passing of the torch, for that reason it was a significant match in WWE history. Unlike with Cena with Bryan or Cena with Punk, Reigns really did step up and along with the clean win, Reigns feels more like the new standard bearer in the WWE.

Other than that though the match didn't really mean much to me. It was ok. Certainly not bad, but it was just kinda meh to me.

Match of the night for sure, big fight feel and exciting action throughout with near falls galore keeping you guessing as to who would win.

As Admin said this had to be Cena's best babyface reaction in years but it's not good news for Reigns who continues to get strong hate from the fans.

This is a contender for feud of the year, the promo work has had me gripped and the match delivered. People will probably argue that the feud was short and only produced one match but for me that's fine, long running feuds with multiple matches become dull and repetitive.

Not sure the passing of the torch will work though, fans are not warming to Roman.
