Please for the love of god turn this guy back into a jobber he was by far one of the worst WWE champions.

It didn't help that 2 of his 3 challengers were horrible nothing against Nakumura but when you have to say sticks and stones may break my bones with a freaking mouth guard in his mouth it's destined for disaster

And then there's good old blandy who's wrestling is Just so boring and bland that having him be a contender was just awful to watch

In fairness while I’m not convinced Jinder is headliner material I think his title run has successfully elevated him into a guy who is now a credible upper mid-card act. I think his World title reign was done mostly to promote WWE in India anyway, I’m not sure there was a long term plan for Jinder to be in the main events.

So while his title reign has been heavily criticised and rightly so as his feud with Orton was pretty dull and the stuff with Nakamura was awful, his matches with AJ were decent though and it led to the classic Styles/Lesnar match, what it has achieved is to successfully convert a talent formerly recognised as a jobber into a guy who can be taken seriously in the top tier of the mid-card, that’s not a bad thing.

As much as I couldn't stand his world title reign, it doesn't offend me that much that he is possibly going to be the US champ.

HOWEVER. Jinder has had his shot in the spotlight. A long long seven months. If he is to get the US title, then he is still in the spotlight, and a lot of more talented mid-carders on Smackdown were moved down the pecking order thanks to his reign. Those mid-carders still won't have moved up the pecking order. Well maybe apart from Mojo Rawley, who isn't exactly an improvement on Jinder!

He'd just be US champ to then lose it to someone else anyway.

I do love Mahal's crowd reactions right now though. Now that he's not being pushed so hard people have stopped booing because they have no reason to anymore. Having him beat Tye Dillinger is perfectly acceptable really.

Rusev Day to become US Champ SD after Rumble.

I would thoroughly enjoy a Jinder vs Rusev US title match at Wrestlemania. The story writes itself.

I second that and WWE would be very smart to capitalise on the popularity of Rusev Day with a push in to Wrestlemania which sees Rusev lift the US title from a hated heel like Jinder.

Sadly I think both members of Rusev Day will more likely be making up the numbers on the pre-show in The Andre the Giant Battle Royal.
