They needed a better build than this. Longer, sure, but mostly just better. This was the final nail in the coffin for me. I'll watch NXT from now on so long as it continues to be good, and I'm sure that'll keep me up to date on what's going on, but I have no interest in watching WWE anymore.

There's some English broadcasts of NJPW I may try and get into at some point, but I think NXT is it for me now. Whenever it is that Money in the Bank comes up I'll watch that PPV as well as Summerslam but if Summerslam doesn't impress I'll just cancel my WWE Network Subscription and call it quits.

Ever so entertaining when you read the don't hinder Jinder hashtag on Twitter.

Thank you E for giving away that he's not dropping the title for the next couple of months, by promoting that in December he will be defending his title in India.

His tour there proper babyface reaction. Heck he even got to meet Sachin Tendulkar who's one of the best cricketers ever.

It looks good for his character that he’s being a brave champion by challenging Lesnar

In reality this should be an absolute distruction by Lesnar but it really wouldn’t surprise me if they had Mahal win this somehow which would be horrible

On the plus side for Jinder what a transformation over the past 12 months. Wasn't that long ago he was jobbing to everyone in quick matches at the bottom of the card. Now he's champion and about to face Brock Lesnar, 18 months ago if someone had said the main event of a big 4 PPV would be Brock Lesnar vs Jinder Mahal I think most would have laughed.

Sadly it still seems most just don't really care about Jinder. I'm all for WWE taking a lower card talent and pushing them hard but a certain amount of it needs to happen organically. Jinder's main-event status has been completely manufactured by WWE management.

I think most still would laugh, just not at the likelihood of the match being made.

Quote There are no plans to change the WWE Title back to Jinder Mahal before Survivor Series, though it is possible that he could win it back before WWE's tour of India next month. Another alternative is to have AJ Styles added to the tour, change the title there and then set up a rematch between the two at the December Clash of Champions PPV in Boston - which is where they were originally supposed to wrestle first.

-- Where Jinder Mahal fits into current storylines is unclear, though he has publicly denied any injury and has also refuted rumors that he failed a drug test. His shoulder has been slightly banged up but he's been working through it and he obviously hasn't failed any tests as he remains active in the ring.

Jinder has been outspoken on his social media. It's crass for people to assume he only dropped the title because he had failed a drugs test.

He's got the biggest profile he's ever had, been champion for half a year and is in great shape. He deserves some credit for his career going the way it has since being signed up for a second time.

Even without the main event scene, he's not going to be going back to low card jobber.

Actually I just saw what he looked like at WrestleMania 30. He really didn't look much different. I'm not sure why as I was also pretty impressed with how I imagined he had bulked up since he had been gone, but truth is, there really was much of a difference at all.

He's just got more definition now.

I'm probably in the few that appreciates what Mahal has accomplished. He came from nowhere and had a 6 month World Title run, and has grown as a character. Allow him to develop further away from the title now...however I do expect him to get the title back soon in order to be fed to a face for WM.

In a perfect world, Jinder would never be champion again, AJ styles would beat Brock Lesnar for the Universal title, and the WWE title would be dropped in the meantime to someone like Sami Zayn or Finn Balor.

But I agree that Jinder should develop away from the title, further and further away as time goes on.

That should never happen - hes absolutely dreadful

Whereby Jinder has made some significant improvements in my opinion (in terms of how he looks) - which to some may justify why he won the title - Sami Zayn has literally done nothing at all since his arrival

I'd be happy if the title is kept off Jinder but to be honest im not sure where they go from here with him because hes reached the highest levels hes ever going to reach - and he was really bad - so anything other than keeping him off TV is going to ruin his character even more
