Seen a bit of Omega on youtube - dont watch much wrestling outside of WWE days but from what ive seen that should be a great match

Probably would have been better if it happened a few year ago because Jericho is on the decline

Yeah, but I don't think Omega would be as good.

It's the whole Savage vs HBK thing again. Their careers overlapped, but when Savage was at his peak and still hadn't yet started his decline, HBK wasn't anywhere near seasoned enough to hold up his end, even though he was already clearly a future star.

Of the two options I'd rather see an aging star that can still go but has lost a step or two against a young guy just hitting his peak instead of a guy in the middle of his prime against a guy on the way up.

I'm sure it's just a matter of preference, but that is how I would prefer it.

They'll sign Omega and continue this feud within WWE - he'll probably be a surprise entrant at the Royal Rumble

Quote It was announced at Sunday’s NJPW Power Struggle event that Kenny Omega would take on Chris Jericho at Wrestle Kingdom 12 on January 4.After Omega successfully defended his IWGP United States Championship against Baretta at the event, Omega waited to see who his next challenger would be. Suddenly Chris Jericho showed up on the big screen and challenged Omega to a match. Jericho and Omega had been going back and forth on Twitter for weeks and it looks like this is the reason why.

Jericho sent out the following about the match:

See you there @kennyomegamanx#AlphaVsOmega #Jan4 #TokyoDome https://t.co/J3SLS319zu

— Chris Jericho (@IAmJericho) November 5, 2017

Well We fooled your stupid ass…. https://t.co/N7r20WOXuK

Since Jericho faced debuted for E, is this his first match outside of the company? I can't think of another off top of my head.

Even though he's not under contract I have no doubt he would have told Vince Mcmahon beforehand just out of decency to a man that's done so much good for him.

Plus he will have been able to ask what he's going to be booked to do at Royal Rumble and Wrestlemania LOL
