Quote It was reported earlier this week that Ring of Honor had blocked The Briscoe Brothers and Adam Cole from signing with WWE by enforcing their contracts. This was news because ROH officials had stated that they would not stop their talents from moving on to bigger opportunities.

Jay Briscoe took to his Twitter account last night and wrote the following about the reports:

"Just to set shit straight, ROH didnt block us from gettin signed to the WWE. The internet is f***ing stupid."

This is just a strange story all over.

ROH has always allowed guys to leave to go up to WWE.  CM Punk, Daniel Bryan/Bryan Danielson, Chris Hero, Cladio... all of them were free to go.   So why would they block the Briscoe Brothers?

If the Briscoes want to try somewhere else, I would really like to see them go to TNA.  I think that TNA would allow them to stick closer to their current style and characters.  WWE would whitewash them completely, but not TNA.

Personally I hope its just a temporary thing where they need them for a few more months until they can establish some new stars.

When you think about it i think ROH has created alot of great stars like cm punk, bryan danielson, the kings of wrestling, austin aries but the thing about it is right when ROH started to bulid the company around danielson or punk they leave because the money they would get in wwe or in TNA is something they just couldn't pass up and i dont blame them ROH is a great wrestling company but its still considered the minor leagues they wanted better and now they are getting that.

Guys like mike bennett and kevin steen are 2 of the most entertaining guys on their roster if they would get pushed a little more then ROH would fear that they would leave so thats why they are down on the card while eddie edwards, davey richards, and rodrick strong are all boring generic guys who seem to always be in the main event. Its because management knows that they wont leave.

Which is why i think the kings of wrestling left because i would see them in all of these tag team feuds but when they held the tag titles for over a year what else could they do? ROH kept them as a tag team and while James storm and bobby roode break up over in TNA and they have a massive feud that hopefully TNA makes money out of. ROH couldn't do a partner vs partner storyline with their top tag team?
YES! YES! YES!

Actually, giving a monster push to Kevin Steen would be smart simply because Steen has stated in the past that now that he's married and he has a kid (I also believe his son is autistic), he has no interest anymore in joining WWE or TNA so Steen leaving for a bigger paycheck isn't something that ROH would have to be worried about.

Here is how ROH officially responded to the WWE/Briscoes & Cole situation:

I see Briscoes as Bushwackers in WWE, no more hardcore, just to take it easy and make some money, travel the world with WWE. For a good paycheck I would do any gimmick Vince wants.
Still real to me dammit !
