He still managed to flub once. Or... I dunno, maybe Hulk really did launch the WWE Universe... who knows.

What I found ironically hilarious was Hogan saying "WWE" more times in that short segment than he ever said "TNA" in all the time he'd been there

I think WWE used Hogan as well as he can used in a live t.v capacity anymore. Keep him in his own segment, don't make him go longer than 5 minutes (because he will flub lines), and tell him to put over the company and not a storyline. And beyond that, just feel the crowd and let the music/pop do what it's supposed to do and get people excited for the rest of the show.

The only weekly WWE show that Hulk Hogan should be on is the Raw Pre-show. Limit him to sitting at a desk and talking about how great the current roster is.

Not that I think Hogan's ego would go along with that.

I take the exact opposite view. I would love to see him in some capacity on the shows each week and getting involved in things. I hope they make him GM soon. That would be interesting. I guess I am one of the few here who liked his role in TNA.

I don't like that they used him and his appeal to plug the WWE Network. But if they must have Hogan do that, I wish he would have personalized what is available on the WWE Network. For example, "I fought 'The Eighth Wonder of the World' Andre The Giant and slammed him. Andre is one of the toughest guys I've ever faced (he could say as he points to the sky), and you can see that on the new WWE Network. Years later I went toe to toe with The Rock; and Hulkamaniacs, you can also see that on the new WWE Network," etc. That would have tied in past storylines and things that Hogan was involved with.

JBL did just that at the broadcasting booth, talking about guys he's fought in the past. But the closest Hogan came was mentioning that he was a part of WrestleMania I.

I agree with Russ. WWE did exactly the right thing with Hogan. Bring him out for his big pop, have me shill a bit in his own segment and then turn the show back over to the guys that are actually working. A big part of the WWE Network is the nostalgia appeal and that's the main reason for WWE to bring back Hogan. I was so glad that WWE kept him to the one segment.

I was also expecting him to mention The Rock at Wrestlemania X8 or Andre at Wrestlemania III, especially since he normally talks about Andre everywhere. But I think he did a good job. I can't wait for that moment at Wrestlemania XXX where he and Roddy Piper get into a confrontation of some kind. I love that kinda thing.

Quote Hulk Hogan posted the following on Twitter, discussing the media work he has been doing for WWE.

NYC is always great to me but today was special,I was so happy and grateful to tell the media I'm back home with the WWE Universe, brother HH

Great to be back. I want to see YOU on 3/8 at 2pm! I’ll be with @SteinerSports at @RooseveltField #Hulkamania #WWE HH

With the amount of appearances he's put in all over the place promoting E and tweeting so much about it, he's earning his money for sure.

Most of us would have expected someone to come out during his segment on Raw, but thankfully it was used to sell two important things in Wrestlemania and the Network.

I would expect this coming monday for him to be put in a few segments with different people.

Things keep getting closer and closer. Honestly, I look forward to seeing him back. WWE has always done a fantastic job with Hogan, so this shouldn't be any different.

IF they spent as much time developing the newer superstars as they do trying to get the over the hill past it guys back then WWE would be in a much better place right now

WWE does not need Hulk Hogan

That's a bit too extreme if you ask me. At least as it relates to Hogan. WWE doesn't have to spend any time to get Hogan back. He wants back and he is meeting with them, and it's not like they're working with him at the expense of new talent. He's not an active wrestler. I seriously doubt he could even take a bump.

On the other hand using him for various other things the way WWE uses Jerry "The King" Lawler, and even to this day "Mean" Gene Okerlund. I would imagine that aside from promotional material, hosting a show here and there, and the like he won't be doing much of anything else. Maybe he'll even work at NXT. He lives about an hour or so away already he would be great for promo class and very few people (Undertaker) could teach big-man psychology better than he could.

Hogan got a bad name because he's not great at creative, well so what? There's a million other good positions for him and none of it means he's going to WWE Champion, and certainly not booking all the matches, least of all when Vince McMahon is still around. Any flaw the guy has professionally WWE is going to steer him clear of that, and you'd have to be insane not to see the plus side to having Hogan around.

If I've said it once, I've said it a thousand times, Vince knows how to work with Hogan in a way no one else ever has, least of all WCW & TNA.
