Thought there would already be a thread for this but the search engine couldn't find one.....

Quote Hulk Hogan remains a free agent following the expiration of his contract with TNA Wrestling last month and the two parties being unable to reach a new agreement. This afternoon on Facebook, the legendary grappler teased a possible return to WWE by publishing a photo of himself clutching a replica copy of the WWE Championship. His caption reads, "Thinkin, thinkin, thinkin. HH."

It was reported last week that the 60-year-old has been "training like a mad man" in hopes of wrestling again for WWE.

Hogan returning to the promotion could hinge on Triple H, who is leaving the door open for his return to the sports-entertainment organization. The six-time WWE Champion told the Associated Press earlier this month that he was warmly received by Vince McMahon's son-in-law at a recent charity function.

"He just welcomed me with open arms. He said if ever I decide I get the itch to come back home," the door's open," Hogan stated.

Of course the door is open, it's simply good business for Hogan to return to WWE. Used on a special appearances only basis Hogan still has big drawing power in WWE and will always get a massive nostalgic pop from the crowd. WWE are smart enough to recognise his value and use him correctly rather than having him appear every week and killing his value like TNA did.

Far as working a match goes Im not sure WWE would go for that given how broken down Hulk is, that being said Bret Hart wrestled a match at Wrestlemania not so long ago and he can't even take bumps at all anymore, with the right opponent Hulk need only rely on his storytelling and crowd working skills anyway to have a memorable match, his matches have never been about great athleticism.

If the door is that far open why hasn't he already been signed? Regardless of what I think of Bret Hart at least he's still mobile. The same cannot be said of Hoke Hogan and it has nothing to do with fitness but with the general state of his body. He's Sixty Years of age and can hardly walk - he doesn't have one more match in him, he doesn't even have one more leg drop in him. Well he does but that's only if he wants to jeopardise even the limited ability he has right now to walk after it.

Mind you Hoke Hogan vs Bret Hart might work, (what with Bret unable to take bumps and Hogan unable to give them), but only if Bret wins with a Sharpshooter (at least he can apply his finisher), which I couldn't see happening in any dimension.

Other than that, Hogan as an Emissary for the WWE? He doesn't want that, he wants one more run as Champion - but if he couldn't get that done in TNA, then what chance does he have for it to happen in the WWE?

All in all, thank fuck he's gone form TNA, and I wish him all the best at the WWE.

I'm always very indifferent about guys who are, well let's just call them "Of age" returning to the ring. I'm not even so sure I want Goldberg back as his return has been rumoured recently for a while, and he's 46. I mean Hulk's 60 and it wasn't to long ago that he was talking about another World Title run as TNA Heavyweight Champion. It just gets to a point where it's like "come on bro, you've had your moment in the sun, don't tarnish your reputation any more." Otherwise people will start feeling sorry for him because he just can't walk away.

Hogan and Cena is still a viable Mania main event.

I don't give a shit how many of you hate Hogan, nobody has the big match aura he does and no matter how crippled he is he can still work a decent match.

His TNA run doesn't count, because I'm still yet to be convinced TNA aren't a spoof documentary on the wrestling business similar to waht Spinal Tap were to the music biz.

Bret is still mobile but he can't take back bumps which means any offense he takes from a opponent can't put him on his back, so this pretty much means kicks and punches only. Hogan has back and hip issues and looks barely mobile but as I mentioned he was always about working the crowd and storytelling anyway, his matches were never scientific classics. As JTB said with the right opponent I think Hogan could still have a semi-decent match and most importantly it would draw.

Surely in a Spoof Documentary Hogan would've been able to have booked himself as World Heavyweight Champion and had a stunt double do his in-ring work?

Just wait until the Carters sell off TNA. The new owners will bring back Hulkamania.
