Quote WWE's apparently teasing a future match between the returning Undertaker and WWE Champion Triple H. Here is what WWE.com wrote in their preview for this Friday's edition of SmackDown: "The news that Guerrero re-instated The Phenom has surely drawn the attention of every Superstar within WWE. But, the first Superstars to take notice were most certainly those on the SmackDown roster who will come face-to-face with The Deadman on Friday nights, including WWE Champion Triple H. But before The Game has to contend with The Phenom, he'll be focused on his match against The Great Khali at SummerSlam."

* There match at Wrestlemania 17 is one of the few Undertaker matches at Wrestlemania i've enjoyed and so i'd be quite happy with this fued.

* They obviously haven't fueded in a long time and so it would be fresh (along with the change of gimmicks since they last fueded).

* The one big difference since last time is it would be over the title. Then there's them both being babyfaces to consider.

* It could very well be a slow burning fued which results in Undertaker regaining the title.

Quote Triple H and The Undertaker are the ones putting together their current program for WrestleMania 27, with minimal input from WWE creative.

Taker was originally scheduled to face Wade Barrett and Triple H was set to face Sheamus at WrestleMania but the two got together and realized that WrestleMania 27 had no special match. As WWE's two most power political forces, they felt they could take control of their own angle without much in the way of outside influence.

Shawn Michaels is still expected to be introduced into the storyline and have a role at WrestleMania, possibly as a referee or an enforcer. The idea behind the storyline is that Triple H is going at Taker for revenge after Taker ended his best friend's career.

Trips & Taker calling the shots without creative? Guess that expains the silent promo.

How positively old school of them.  For those that don't remember or realize it, once upon a time there was no "creative" just some bookers that said up or down.  The actual wrestlers had to work out their own spots.

Of course only Trips & Taker would be allowed such a luxury.  This should assure that if the Taker still has any limits from his most recent injury, they would be covered & worked around.

Good, if the two of them are writing and working out the program without input from that joke of a creative team, this will be good to watch.

Also, if it took these two just talking and figuring out that there was not a "big match" set up for Mania, wouldn't you think Vince would have caught on to that too?

I like this match, and I know it will be good; but there is also a part of me that doesn't like to see the same WrestleMania match again. Personally, I would have liked to have seen Undertaker vs Sheamus at WrestleMania XXVII. But let's hope, that as in the case of Undertaker vs Kane, Hulk Hogan vs Andre The Giant, Stone Cold Steve Austin vs The Rock, or of course Undertaker vs "The Heartbreak Kid" Shawn Michaels that this match will be a worthy exception. Obviously the two can put on a hell of an entertaining match; and obviously the two can handle the creative aspect of it. If Shawn is a referee, it will be just like when he was referee for Undertaker's SummerSlam 1997 match against Bret The Hitman Hart; where Shawn was forced to make the three count and declare his arch enemy Bret Hart the WWF World Champion. Then again Shawn has Superkicked participants in matches he's refereed. See Helmsley vs Rock at a 1999 Smackdown! I call a spot where Shawn out of nowhere Superkicks Taker; and Taker still kicks out (perhaps even with a save by a surprise appearing Sting). So the match can be enthralling no doubt. If they make it some kind of retirement angle as rumored; than it will only add to the aura.

Either way, Taker will be, and should be, 19-0.

I can only see this build up being nothing short of excellent these 2 have got great creative minds and they can always deal with Barret and Sheamus on the B grade PPVs or Summerslam

I'm glad that creative has little or no input into this storyline.
Its nice that they are getting free reign to do it themselves.
Hopefully using HBK's retirement into the mix will only make the storyline stronger.
I'm looking forward to seeing how they play it out.

Credit goes to Bigfloridapimp for the Sig!!!!

Pretty good opening to a storyline because despite neither of them talking......

1) You know they want to face eachother at Wrestlemania through looking at the sign.

2) You know they aren't fond of eachother through the hand gestures to eachother.

This storyline is already more exciting then Cena/Miz and Edge/Del Rio and not one word has been said between the two of them! I loved there Wrestlemania 17 match, of course both wrestlers were younger and Taker had his awesome "badass" gimmick.

There is a chance that Taker and HHH give us a repeat of the awful King of The Ring 2002 match instead of a repeat of the classic Wrestlemania 17 match
