One of the biggest free agents in wrestling decided that he would join the project that is All Elite Wrestling.

As a result, he will be facing PAC in the first ever AEW World Championship match at Double or Nothing.

If you have never seen Adam Page before then i suggest you look up some of his matches online because he is fantastic.

Its hard to compare him with some former or current WWE stars but he has that "IT Factor" and it is no surprise that WWE tried to sign him too.

He has done a few interviews lately talking about possibly being the face of the company and he has made no secret that it something he wants to do.

Maybe this was part of the reason why he chose AEW over WWE?

This is one guy who im really looking forward to seeing in AEW

So Hangman has always had the in ring ability but looking at how hes been booked in recent AEW episodes as this sort of cool drinking guy  sort of how like James Storm used to be booked in TNA.

His tag team with Kenny Omega is awesome and they are great as tag team champions from what ive seen

I've felt for a long time that Hangman Page is going to be AEW homegrown superstar. He's the guy that they should be developing and protecting as a long term investment. He's the youngest member of the Elite and has the least mileage on him. Barring anything tragic, he's going to be active years after any of the other guys. He should be AEW's version of Sting in 1986-87. He's going to be the franchise player.

Hangman is fast becoming one of my favourite superstars in the whole of wrestling

This week he was in top form - Cody and Dustin were being beat down by the inner circle, Page strolls down with his beer - drinks some, places it on the turnbuckle - whoops some ass, picks his drink back up and downs it.

Then he goes up to Matt Jackson and then just sticks the middle finger up right in his face before walking off

Hes going to be a HUGE star

The new character loosely based on Steve Austin is working well for Hangman, however I think the plan is for a heel turn and it seems fans are embracing his new persona. 

I think they should keep Page babyface with the new character just have him distance himself from the Elite guys.

As in the Omega thread, i think theyll turn Omega heel as he was so good in Japan at it and his storytelling is awesome.

Page is so over and AEW really need another TOP babyface

I fully understand him not wanting to accept beer from fans but not using moves near the face is a little more iffy for me; as you should be able to to trust who you're working with. But at the same time I get that one can never be too careful. It is also good that he encouraged the fans to practice safe habits.

So after a long time, the tension between Hangman and The Elite reached breaking point this week,

After costing The Bucks their tag match, Page was kicked out of The Elite.

it will be interesting to see where this goes as prior to this, he had tension with Omega too and the rumors were that Omega would turn heel and there are rumours that Page, who wants to be accepted into the Elite, is begrudgingly following orders from Omega, in hope he gets accepted into the elite.

It has made for a great storyline so far

I have said it before that i think Hangman Page will be AEW's biggest "homegrown" talent and he is well on his way to becoming the biggest babyface they have.

He is 8-0 in singles action in 2021 and is ranked number 2.

Surely they will have this run build and he will face Omega and be the one to take the title from him.

I think they are doing the right thing playing it very slow with Page, have Omega continue to collect titles and keep building heat with his mega heel promos and actions. 

Meanwhile Page should keep getting wins and establishing himself as a top player in the company until they finally have him challenge and defeat Omega cementing Page as the face of AEW.
