lol yeah, totally with Suze here.

If someone was to have the other guy arrested for things that happen in wrestling then they'd be no wrestlers left. Lighten the fuck up Adders, its a storyline lolll.

Why was the police never rung to get Goldie arrested for theft?

Isn't stealing the property of someone heelish for a babyface to do?

Why steal something that doesn't belong to you if you are going to hand it over of your own free will?

Maybe they don't consider having someone arrested as a very PG thing to do - although Mae Young wasn't being very PG with what she said to LayCool either. Or maybe it's because...oh yes...it's not real so they have no need to have Goldust arrested.
With that line of thinking you'd have to say why wasnt Kane arrested for burying Undertaker alive or why wasnt Randy Orton arrested for blowing Taker up with his car a few years back. Come to think of it why wasnt Rikishi nicked when it was revealed he ran Steve Austin down in his car or why wasnt Shane Mcmahon locked up when he tried to kill Kane by rigging the limo to smash into another car.....simple, because you have to suspend your disbelief, its not real, so its pointless asking questions like why wasnt Goldust arrested.

Great bit of nostalgia to see him back and I hope it becomes more of a regular thing.

It was a nice touch using his brothers finisher and he was very over with the crowd.

As for the match it was of good length and the quality was decent too.

I thought he looked fantastic. Considering that he was there to job out to Orton, he still managed to get sympathy and had the crowd firmly on his side. Dustin also carried the workload of much of the match. In the post-match promo, Orton wasn't even breathing heavy because Dustin was carrying him.

Using the Cross Rhodes finisher was a nice touch, although I suspect many fans wouldn't know Goldust's finisher. Cody Rhodes uses a few of Goldust's moves in his usual set (again many fans don't realize.) Cody also uses a couple of Hardcore Holly's moves also, so Cody routinely does his own tributes to those that influenced him.

Dustin also slipped in a tip of the hat to his dad. Before he did his drop-down-upper-cut combo, Goldust did a little flip-flop-fly like Dusty would do before landing the bionic elbow.

I have to add that I'm really surprised that Dustin isn't a trainer down in NXT. Clearly he could teach the developmental talent something about ring psychology.

He says he didn't like being a WWE producer, but as he's been working on the indies he's known to share his knowledge and experience.

He's not even in a Summerslam match, but that promo has made me more interested in his antics there than a few of the matches.

He covered so many bases in his speech that it's not obvious what's going to happen and maybe creative don't even know themselves.

New partnership? New fued? Interfere in a match? It could be interesting.

By the sounds of his promo and from what dirt sheets have said the plan is for Goldust to transition in to a manager/mentor type role similar to how Titus O'Neill is being used now.

This is smart, in the ring Goldust at this stage of his career will be a low card act and nothing more, but as a character he offers great entertainment and they can use his charisma and mic skills to give a rub to a new talent.

As Admin said this is more interesting than much of the Summerslam match card.

I've been watch the Hulu edited version of Raw for the last several weeks, and I swear everything Goldust is cut from that version. Which is a shame as I'm still a fan of his work.

I think that switching him over to a managerial role is a great move. He's 48 now and while he's in the best shape he's been in many years, the only accolade left for him to achieve in his career is a world title reign, which simply isn't going to happen. But this switch gives the character a whole new avenue to explore.

My biggest reservation concerns having another manager on Raw. With Titus O'Neil seemingly assembling a stable, Maryse with the Miz, and the occasional appearance by Paul Heyman, Raw is the brand that already has the most managers. So adding another manager to the mix would just reduce the "specialness". But perhaps, Goldust will surprise everyone and select his next masterpiece from the SDL roster instead.

Goldie as a manager would be brilliant, especially if he gets the chance to work with someone who is a little rough around the edges and just needs some solid guidance. The one that comes to mind most at the moment is actually in NXT, and that's Velveteen Dream. Goldie could work really well with his, especially with the origins of the Goldust character being so out there.

Yeah I thought of Velveteen Dream as well but obviously that's because of the gimmick similarities.

I have a feeling it's going to be Darren Young but I really hope not as at this point Young is a lost cause, they've tried to get him over as a singles guy and it's never worked.
