Well, suffice to say that this format has got me hooked, not only because of the name value that WWE invested into the mentoring post (I half expected jobbers or low midcarders to do the task as a way to keep them occupied....)

I shall tune in for the first episode, let´s see where we go from there.

Quote All WWE NXT rookies now have profiles up on the WWE site. The information is basically the same as was announced on ECW on Tuesday, with the exception of Daniel Bryan. His profile mentions that he was trained by Shawn Michaels. Also of note, the mentor for each rookie is listed under "Associates" on the rookie's profile. Skip Sheffield is still listing MVP as an associate, despite having William Regal listed as a mentor.

The fact they are acknowledging that Danielson was trained by HBK has to be a good thing Big smile

Is Skip Sheffield now heel? Is William Regal now babyface? Have creative fucked up with the mentors?

The whole Skip Sheffield character is a joke so whoever is mentoring him can't expect too much success.

Skip Sheffield? What character does he portray?

As for Daniel Bryan's trainer being listed as  Shawn Michaels, it must mean a good push is going to come his way especially if WWE are acknowledging that the Heartbreak Kid was his trainer.

He's the jobber of the bunch with the least amount of potential, I'd imagine. A dumb redneck cowboy gimmick isn't going to go very far.

Maybe the plan is for Regal to try to turn Skip Sheffield into the next Kozlov.

Sheffield has been trying to make it onto the roster since the crappy Tough Enough 4.  It show be noted that Sheffield previous violated the WWE Wellness policy back when he was in OVW.  So we'll see if he accomplishes anything more than becoming another stooge for Regal.

Sheffield that Ryan Reeves guy? Pfft... Excuse me while I laugh, he won't last long.

WWE has removed MVP from the list of star mentors for the NXT show and has been replaced by William Regal. Regal will now serve as the mentor for Skip Sheffield.

Just saw who Sheffield is, yeah Ryan Reeves, he's got a good look, question is how good is he in the ring and on the mic.

Tarver looks a good talker even though he is a rip off of Antonio Tarver.

Heath Slater came across nothing like a babyface to say he's working with Christian.

His "one man rock band" persona could take some getting used to.

Let's remember some of the mentors aren't suppose to get along with their rookies.  It's meant to create drama.  But I agree Skip Sheffield/Ryan Reeves looks like the future jobber of the lot.  I'm reserving judgement on most until I see how they are actually used.

I, for one, thought this show was really, really good. I like how they have a pro per rookie, even though many, if not all, aren't truly rookies.

My favorite, and the guy I think will win this whole thing, is Christian's rook, Heath Slater. He has the whole package; the look, the skills, the charisma, everything. He just needs to refine his skills more.
BECAUSE I'M THE MEMBER...AND I'M.....AWESOOOOOOME!!
