God damnit they got a frost wyrm. That is going to make things really ugly. Not sure if it was Viserion or Rhaegal, just glad it wasn't Drogon. Pretty unbelievable Jon Snow survived.

The death of the Dragon was a devastating heartbreaking moment. But on the plus side it presents a interesting scenario as there is now a White Walker Dragon and the possibility of Dragon vs Dragon conflict.

The question is will this Dragon breathe fire or ice?

I wonder if Bran will Worg himself into the second living dragon? The 3-Eyed Crow did say that Bran would never walk again, but he would fly.

Holy shit! The next season doesn't premier until 2019!?

The finale went down just about the way it had to... Considering how game of thrones plays out normally, to see justice done with little finger was shocking indeed. It was predictable in every way but with Little finger. Still very good.

Ready to see this series come to an end.

2019 is a rumour, it's said it depends on the production schedule and the writers so it could still premiere in 2018.
A 2 year wait is too long and would require some catching up to remind yourself of the story so far.

I enjoyed the last episode as I have this whole season, definitely one of the best series' of the show, and although it felt like it was over too soon I did enjoy the new format of less episodes than normal but slightly longer episodes.

The White Walkers with the now undead Dragon destroying the wall was a great set up for the last series, nice touch with the blue fire as well.
Enjoyed the negotiations scenes as well between the Lannisters and Dany/Snow, it brought together a lot of people who hadn't crossed paths in a long time and still had unresolved conflict, the Hound and his brother was a good exchange.

Also it was finally confirmed about Jon's ancestry so he's just slept with his aunt!

"Rumor" is not quite the right word, but I totally get your point. It is an educated speculation based upon the time it normally takes to produce a show as well as shoot it, and only a slight bit of pre-production has been done at this point. The estimation is that there is 18 months worth of work to be done at the point of the season finale airing, as this is august, that means early 2019 before all of that is complete.

That abnormally large production estimate is based on the extra large size of each episode and the amount of CGI that needs to be done. It sounds fairly legit to me.

I think by far the 2 most satisfying moments of the season go to Arya, first for poisoning the entire house Frey after impersonating Waldor, and then this last episode for slitting Littlefinger's throat. I thought for sure he was going to end up being the ultimate villain even beyond Cersei. Glad he's gone.
